buttons,buttons, whos got the buttons?

i know everone seems to be into pins these days but dw and i have collected disney pinback buttons for 30 years. we have over 1200 of them. everything from employee buttons to parks.

I collect ones of my favorite characters or events I have been to.

I think I have all the Earth Day ones since the beginning. Jiminy is one of the characters I collect.

They are a LOT bigger than pins.

How do you display yours??

I've collected a few since I've become a CM, a 34th Birthday Button for WDW, Jiminy C. Earth Day CM, Conservation Buttons for dontating money, All the birthday and celebration buttons available from the parks, name tag buttons from various tours and a few other CM buttons we've been given.

we display ours in cases. about 16"x18" with glass covers, felt inside. that way its easy to look through them all. we get them at flea markets but i think you can get them on ebay.

that sounds like a good button. ill have to keep an eye out on ebay for that one.

We were staying at the Beach Club Villas on opening day and I was disappointed that they had given away all the buttons the week prior to the opening. I did find a CM at Beachs & Cream that had just thrown his button in the trash. He went in the back and recovered it and gave it to me. He made my day. I have a few other DVC related buttons (some that I bought on Ebay and some that were given to me by DVC CMs).

we have received a lot of our favorite buttons from castmembers. i used to pin them on the back of my hat just to get a rise out of our kids. now its just dw and i going to parks but we still pick them up whenever we can.
last year for our 30th anniv i got us a couple of the just married buttons at guest relations and wore them all week.
