But Rhett! Where Shall I Go? What Shall I do? Frankly, m'dear... a MAY 2010 PTR

Offensive Rookie of the Year!! :banana:We're so proud of him! I'm trying to find the pic of Drew and Percy together so I can show you.

Drew would need a size 12 - 14 so that he could grow into it. If you could find one-- i would be ever so indebted to you. (He's got a bday in May!:goodvibes) I've scoured the internet but can't find anything for him.

Percy has had migraines for a long time. They are really bad ones- usually keep down for almost a week. My little man will be crushed if Percy doesn't play.

Thanks for looking for me.

I'm all over it. I'll be at MOA Sunday before the game for a DIS meet with Northern Disney Girl (Kim). They have a Vikings Locker Room store and DH can get a discount - so maybe I can get one there! I'll pm you if I have any luck.

OOOhhhhh- thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! You are awesome! Let me know if you find anything---

Thanks so much!!!!:goodvibes

Do you have a photobucket account? If not, you have to get one, or another hosting site. I use Photobucket.

I'm so not good at explaining things about a computer- I just know how to do it so that it works for me-

Lake- can you tell her ???? SOmeone else? Shelly?? Sheree??

Photobucket- definitely! and it will provide you with a link for posting here.
It took me a little while to get it at first, but I am getting better.

Posting photos -
Set up an account at Photobucket.com. It will allow you to upload pictures from your computer into an album. You can then click on and copy the IMG "thingy" link (I never know what it is called) and then paste in into a reply on the threads. They usually default to a large size so if you want it smaller, you can resize it on photobucket before you copy it. In my TR, most of my pictures are large partly b/c I'm lazy or forget to resize, or I just want people to be able to see all the details. Your choice.

Hope that helps clear it up. If I can do it, anyone can! :thumbsup2

We loved the Poly - so much so that when we talked about going back this year and I made my spreadsheet (yes a spreadsheet ) with resort choices for everyone to pick from the Poly was the only choice. I even had pros/cons for each resort ;).
What we loved - wow that is a long list - I will try to be brief
*We stayed club level 1st floor with a lagoon view and were lucky enough to have a straight view of the Castle. My DH loved watching Wishes from bed :upsidedow and DS and I could go right to the beach :lovestruc
We also watched Wishes from the pool one night - very cool!
This pic was right outside of our room
Image853.jpg

*The grounds and decor made us feel we were on a tropical island resort in addition to being at WDW
*Tonga Toast :thumbsup2
*The staff was very friendly

OK really the only thing that bugged us were the uninivited pool hoppers :headache: because the Poly has a pretty cool pool.

I thought about doing a TR but we were there for 2 weeks and it just felt overwhelming

Sounds like you had an awesome room & view! :cloud9:

Tonga Toast is a definite plus at the Poly! :thumbsup2 I had it for the first time when we went to Kona in November. It was great! :goodvibes

What are your dates? It looks like you will be arriving exactly a week before us! We will be there (BWI) Nov 6-13, the same week we went last year. It was a great time to go -- low crowds, warm weather, and most of the Christmas decorations were up!

We are going 10/30-11/7 so we have one overlapping day:thumbsup2 - our DS is turning 9 on 11/6 so this is his bday trip party:

I am a little worried about Jersey week and the crowds - but really we will be in Disney so who cares :cool1::cool1:

Love reading everyone's stories, all very touching.
Thank you all for sharing... I came online to check the weather and catch up on my dis news!

Because I lured Jo into doing a PTR, I am going to try my best to write a TR. This will also be a lesson for me in photobucket etc etc.

See you all real soon! I'll say Hi to Mickey from you all !:goodvibes

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.
We've got a sick one at our house with the stomach virus going around, so we're all pretty tired.

I really enjoyed getting to know a little bit about each of you yesterday--
it was fun to read everyone's memories. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing it.

Everyone enjoy their weekend! :cool1:

No I do not know her. :( Tell her I say hello though, hmm...you never know we may know each other personally.

Duluth, way back in the days that the Canadian dollar was great. The very early 90's, we used to go shopping in Duluth. And always skiing at Lutsen.
Sven and Ole's in Grand Marais had the best pizza by the way.

I don't live in Thunder Bay anymore.
Moved to Southern Ontario 12 years ago, now I am just across the border from Detroit instead.

YAY for an overlapping day! :cool1: Maybe we'll see you somewhere in the World!

I'm not sure how crowded Jersey Week gets. We arrived that Saturday and it was kind of crowded on the weekend. The following week was very slow, but it was busy once the weekend came again.

STUCK.

Your vacation will be here before you know it!! :woohoo: At least I hope so, because that will mean that mine is getting closer. :rotfl:

Hope Belle feels better today.

Morning everyone!

Hope your weekend was great and peaceful.

So sad about the Vikings. We watched with sadness until the bitter end.

Today I have two of the three kiddos home from school, sick.

So--- what's a mom to do?
DIS, of course. In between cleaning up and disinfecting.:goodvibes

It just takes too long to go from one vacation to another.

Too long indeed.

Hope all is well with you today.

Jo

I hope your kiddos feel better soon - mean while waiting for the update ...:surfweb: (no pressure :lmao::lmao:) Just kidding, I figure if I am reading about someone else's trip I am not obessing over ours since I still have a loonnggg time left :rolleyes1
BTW - I must say your title is what brought me in - because of course imho that is the best movie ever. My DH & DS got me the BluRay for Christmas and last weekend my DS and I watched it - well DS made it to the intermission which I though was pretty good for an 8 yo. popcorn::

Ahhh, dining in the World- what could be better?

We have had the pleasure of eating in many of the restaurants on site- mainly b/c my DH has a voracious appetite--
He's a runner and it in turn causes him to be in starvation mode constantly.

So today I'm going to start talking about dining in the Parks by going through each park and naming where we've eaten and giving an opinion or two based on my experiences. I'd love for you to do the same--- This is an interactive PTR! I'd like comments from you guys too!

So, without further ado--Here's a list of the restaurants where we've eaten, starting with:

The Magic Kingdom:

Counter Service:

Columbia Harbor House- this is always a stop for us- we love it there and eat there a few times each trip. DH loves their Tuna Sandwich; I always get a salad. The upstairs is usually a quiet spot to rest.

Cosmic Rays- while not my favorite CS, we enjoy their Rotisserie Chicken. This also has Chicken nuggets for my very picky 7 year old.

Main Street Bakery A must do for a muffin or snack! And- ummm... coffee!

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café- Again, not our favorite but their hamburgers and Pulled pork sandwich are decent. They also have a toppings bar for your sandwiches, so that is a bonus for all who like that sort of thing.

Plaza Ice Cream Parlor- Ice cream, You scream, and all that. The kids love it here, of course.

Enchanted Grove-- for Nescafe-Nasty coffee when it's the only place around and it's a crowded time in the park. (It's usually open at night- grab a cup and watch the fireworks.)

Aloha Isle- Dole Whips! Dole Whip Floats! I don't think I need to elaborate further...;)

Table Service:

The Plaza Restaurant- good salads and sandwiches, and ice cream sundaes to finish your meal.

Liberty Tree Tavern- A tradition for us. We won't even miss the characters. Lunch here is great as well. Their salads are gooo-oood. This restaurant also has tea- which is hard to come by in the parks.

So- there's my quick run down of The MK! I'd love to hear your opinions too.!

Tomorrow will be my favorite park...

Epcot!
