But Rhett! Where Shall I Go? What Shall I do? Frankly, m'dear... a MAY 2010 PTR

I'm up for a party!!!

:cheer2::yay::woohoo:party:party::jumping1:

J0 - did I ever tell you that I found Percy Harvin jerseys at MOA in kids sizes? They had purple ones. They were $65. DH might be able to get a discount. Let me know if you're interested.

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Well- it's better than having no ticker at all!:happytv:

Yay for slow moving tickers!:thumbsup2

As far as you Mr Partytime Sea- you headed to DL on this fine day???

Sheree- thanks for partying with me!

ANd thanks for the info on the jerseys--- actually I have finally found them online! I think that once he won the Rookie of the year - they started making them in the youth sizes. I'm so happy- I'll get one that way.

Thanks for taking the time to look into it- I so appreciate it!

Yes, we are going down this afternoon. Tonight it is Stompy Jones at Carnation Plaza Gardens. http://www.stompyjones.com/

We are meeting up with my cousin and her family at DTD to hang with them for a while, then we will take their daughter Jenny, into the park with us for dancing.

Over Christmas, Chris was telling them about swing dancing at the park, and she was so excited and wanted to go and learn. It should be a lot of fun to watch the kids dance.

:)

But now it's nice and clean- well, my side of the closet is anyway. Who knew I had so much junk crammed in there?

So tomorrow it is--- DTD and BW --!

Thanks for sticking with me Shelly!:goodvibes

UGH! is right! I cleaned out our closets about a month ago. I do a thorough cleaning out once a year and every year I wonder where in the world did all this junk come from?!?!?

I`m back ! I am trying to catch up on all my subscriptions -it feels like I`ve been gone 3 weeks. NOT looking forward to returning to work tomorrow!

The suitcases are still sitting there packed up - uggghhhh not motivated to do anything.

I will attempt a TR ( did I say that outloud). But won`t start until I am ready (photos etc.) for fear of them shutting it down due to no activity - lol

I can`t reveal too many secrets of the trip - then there is nothing to report. But I can say this was our BEST disney trip yet!

Glad I'm not the only one!!!

YAY! You're back!!!! You haven't missed a whole bunch- We've just been sitting here- wishing we were in the World too.

I can't wait to read all about your trip- we'd all read it!:surfweb:

Can't wait to hear how great the pixie dust was for you and your DD.

Welcome home--- laundry can wait a little while longer- ;)

:sad2: tough work but it always feels so good when it is done :woohoo:

Hey you---
what's new with ya?

As far as my closet is concerned....
if only the rest of my house looked that good.:rotfl2:

I been following your updates :thumbsup2 just haven't really had time to post.

We are in the middle of a full remodel on our house so I completely understand having to clean out closets (well everything :headache: )

Enjoy your clean closet ;) I can't wait to hear what you have planned for DTD - Fulton's was one of our favorites last year.

My DS came over this evening (I called him and told him there was leftover food from the weekend - a sure-fire way to get him to come over LOL). He rents a house in an older neighborhhood with 2 other college guys. He said they were doing some cleaning yesterday :faint: and decided to put some things in the attic. They found 2 death certificates in the attic. :scared1: Can anyone top that? :rotfl2:

Hey Drakes! Can't wait til your report to see if we crossed paths!!!

I'm putting these two together b/c we just don't go to either one too much but we have had good meals at both.

Downtown Disney

Counter Service--

Earl of Sandwich -- A very good place! We've eaten here only once and it was on our last trip. We all had the worst colds ever and all I wanted was the vegetable soup. It was very good. DH got the veg soup and a tuna sandwich- he said it was good. My son got the kids' pizza sandwich- it looked yucky to me but he liked it a lot, my youngest DD got the pb&j and didn't eat it, and my oldest got the Italian sandwich- she liked it a ton. I would like to go back and try the sandwiches for myself.

McDonald's - Ronald's Fun House -- of course-- ;) It's always packed to capacity.

Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop -- okay- we haven't really eaten here- we just have to stop in at least once to get our free chocolate.;)

Table Service--

Cap'n Jack's Restaurant -- On one of our first trips with the kids- we stopped in for lunch- had no reservations but they seated us quickly. I rather liked this little place- pretty views. I had a grilled chicken sandwich that was good- but very standard. I'd like to try it again sometime; it's not a place you hear a ton about.

Planet Hollywood -- what can I say? It's Planet Hollywood. It's loud, it's touristy, and the food is average for a big price. Not a place I desire to go back to.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe-- We've eaten lunch here twice. The first time was better than the second IMO. But I did have that cold I spoke of earlier the second time around so I only wanted soup. I got the Butternut Squash soup but it was really really really sweet and I didn't care to have dessert in the form of soup in my bowl. DH likes their Califonia Roll but I don't eat tentacly squishy things- so IDK if it's good or not. The Salmon spinach salad is good, so are the cheeseburgers and the crab cakes as well. I'd definitely give this place another chance.

Fulton's Crab House - Worth every penny of the $200 we spent on the two of us.:rotfl: We were on the dining plan that trip, but this restaurant is one of the ones not on it, so it was OOP. Ane did we pay for the out of pocket experience. DH had the clam chowder, I had the crab and lobster bisque. Both were very good. I also had a house salad and DH had the caesar. Again, both were very good. Then we had the Crab cakes- good good good. DH had this: Lobster Narragansett A whole 1¼ lb. Maine lobster, oven roasted, and stuffed with tender shrimp and scallops served with red skin potatoes.
It hung off of both sides of a huge platter. He said it was wonderful. I had the: Alaska King Crab Claws - 1½ lb. of the sweetest, firmest crab meat, served steamed with red skin potatoes Outstanding.
We also ordered the grilled asparagus and potatoes as well. For dessert I had a creme brulee and DH had the chocolate cake.
Now normally I don't eat that much- I felt like I was dying when I left there.:rotfl2: We had to walk around for hours before we felt better.:rotfl2:
I am very very picky about seafood-- I grew up in Charleston SC getting seafood off of the shrimp boats when they came into dock and going crabbing as a child and watching my mom cook them. Seafood was a huge staple in my house growing up. This restaurant was perfect. Nothing we ate was bad. I have heard mixed reviews of it- but I will say that it is one of my top places to dine in WDW. It was made even better by being seated at the very front of the boat- and we were able to watch the sun go down. Very romantic.:lovestruc I would recommend it to anyone who has a date night and wants seafood.

And now for --
Boardwalk:

There's only one place I've eaten there- and that's--

Big River Grille & Brewing Works-- We had ADR's for 50's Prime Time at DHS and just didn't think we could handle it that day-- so we took the boat over to the Boardwalk. It was a really neat surprise- we all liked it a whole bunch. It's a place you don't hear about too often- they don't take ADR's, so I think a lot of people don't think to plan it into their day. I had the salmon- it was very good- and Mark had the Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich. The kids shared something that is no longer on the menu.
It was a very good meal and I definitely will eat there again in the future.

So that's DTD and the Boardwalk. Thanks for reading!:surfweb:

As always, I'd love to hear your experiences and opinions.:goodvibes

Um, no-- no death certificates OR bodies in my closet. Although when I was in the midst of cleaning it- I had my doubts.

The Resorts!!!:goodvibes

Sorry, I've never tried any of the ones you listed, so I can't give you any opinions. :) At DTD we ate at WP Express, and we really enjoyed it. I'm so bad at remembering what we all had. :guilty: I'm pretty sure I had the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla, I think DD had the Tomato, Basil, and Garlic Spaghetti, and either DH or DS had the Rotisserie Chicken. It was a great value on the DDP as a CS meal.

I'm with you on the topic of seafood. We eat alot of seafood in Louisiana (strange given my screen name - long story! ;)) and we are usually disappointed anytime we order seafood on vacations. But Fulton's sounds like a winner! Actually, most seafood restaurants around here don't even have lobster or king crabs. It's more shrimp, crawfish, crabs, and fish. We have only had lobster at Ruth's Chris steak house. I love it, but it is rare that we ever go there. It's very expensive - probably $200 a couple there would be about right, too. It sounds like your meal was delicious, and a place I would definitely want to try on my next trip!

So these are the places you have already been, right? You're still deciding for your May trip?
