busy this time of year?

We are planning on going to Universal March 28th - April 1st. I was just wondering how busy is it this time of year. I was just wondering if we should stay on site, so we can get the express pass. I was also considering staying off site to save some money, but if it is really busy and packed this time of year I would rather not. Any suggestions would help, Thank you

Yes, it will be very busy. The early entrance will be invaluable as will front of the line. If its in your budget, definitely do it.

Orange County (where Universal is located) is on spring break during this time period. So I imagine lots of my classmates will be hitting up the parks quite frequently.

SO glad I found this thread! We are in the planning stages of picking a time to go to universal/WDW next year. I was thinking the end of march beginning of April would be a good time until I read this! THANK YOU!!!!
