I have heard everyone say that low crowds at WDW doesn't mean easier DVC booking. So, when are the hardest times of the year (specifically weeks) to book a vacation? I'd like to know so I am always on top of it to use the 11 month advantage. Its just the two of us and we probably will always book a studio for about 4 nights at a time. We prefer to take several small trips per year versus 1 long trip.

December is hard. I think especiallly between Thanksgiving and up to Dec. 15th or so, when the points get a bit higher. Christmas week is a demand week. Then NYE is very very hard, call right at 9 or you lose out on some of the categories!

And I found mid-October to be really hard. I called a few weeks ago for anything between about the 12th-28th and found virtually nothing available, not even OKW or SSR many nights.

It really depends on a number of factors, including the resort you are trying to book. Adding to what Bobbi already mentioned, I would say the EPCOT resorts are difficult to get during the F & W. The off site resorts, HH and Vero, are most diffucult during the summer months.

In general, October 1st through the MLK is a much busier DVC time than a general Disney time - with the exception of the holidays themselves - which are busy DVC times AND busy Disney times.

Also, you need to keep in mind that DVC is sold to operate at near 100% occupancy - so by the time you check in, all times of year are busy DVC times. There really isn't a time when you can go to DVC and find the resort less than pretty darn full.
