Busses to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom

Is it true that the Busride from Beach Club to MK or AK takes 45 minutes? Should we drive our rental car to those parks? What's the best way to get to these parks from Beach Club anyway?

No way. It might take 45 minutes including the time you wait for the bus, but even that would be extremely rare. We were there in September, and I think the bus ride to Magic Kingdom was 10-15 minutes, if that. Keep in mind that you also have the option to walk through Epcot and catch the monorail to get to MK from Beach Club.

We have stayed numerous times in the Boardwalk, Beach/Yacth club area and never took 45 minutes to get to either the MK or AK.
Chip N Dale (Disney bus driver) posted that it takes around 12 minutes from that area to the MK. The normal wait is 10-15 minutes if you just missed a bus. During busy times of the day the buses run more often.
The AK is a little longer, maybe 15-20 minutes.
