We'll be staying at BWV for 7 of our 10 days next trip and I'm considering staying at a non-Disney hotel for the other 3. EMH aren't a concern, my worries involve getting to and from the parks. I'm looking at the cluster of hotels around PI and DTD. I figure that if the morning ride to our park of choice is good, we can always connect on a WDW bus back to a DTD stop then just walk 'home'. Any experiences with shuttles from any of these hotels to WDW parks would be appreciated.

If your off site deal is on Hotel Plaza Blvd, its a short walk to the DTD bus stop. Thats where we get the bus to and do our beer run to Goodings. About a mile to the store and the Blvd. is a nice lit, sidewalk right past all those hotels. Easily doable on the walk. Think some of those hotels have a shuttle but really not sure but walking is .

Remember that buses do not run from the parks to DTD (or from DTD to the parks)

We have stayed at the Grosvenor, Holiday Inn and the Best Western all on Hotel Plaza Blvd. The busses are much more comfortable as they are coaches. They run often enough that we never had a problem, coming or going to/from the parks. We enjoyed the Grosvenor location the best because it was very close to DD - just across the street!

It should be noted that Fleetwood does not use the VanHool T945 motorcoaches anymore. Instead, they use shuttle buses with transit-style seats.

Also, the Grosvenor seems to have gone a different way. It now uses another company, and has its own private buses. (Which are the VanHool T945 motorcoaches)
