We are staying on site (All Star Sports) for the first time at the end of September. DH loves the idea that we will not have to drive the car at all while on vacation! I am concerned that the crowds that are there for free dinning will make the wait for busses too long. I know I have read that some parks are better suited for riding the buses because the parking lot is located far from the park entrance and some parks are better suited for Driving.

If we get there and find the bus system overloaded what parks would you drive to and what parks would you say it would be worthwhile to wait for a bus?

We were just there at free dining time and stayed in the basketball section of All Star Sports. It wasn't a bad walk to the bus...the only comment I have on the hotel is to get a room on the quiet side. We almost asked for pool view but were GLAD we didn't when we heard how loud the pool area was late into the evenings.

The bus picks up at All Star Sports first so there's always seats. And it drops off at all star sports first on the return trip so that's nice too. You gotta be prepared for some waits at Disney, just a fact of Disney. But we had no complaints about the bus to the parks. Getting from one hotel to another for dining etc, can be a long jaunt, with a transfer, but from hotel to a park is a breeze.
