Busses from Pleasure Island to resorts

Could anyone help with this one - on our next trip, we would like to visit Pleasure Island and return to our resort, OKW, by bus. Usually, my DH drives as he cannot believe that Disney will run busses until Pleasure Island closes.

Would we have a problem with busses at 2am and also if a bus was full, will Disney summon another one to return tired partygoers to their resorts?

Busses from Downtown Disney (where Pleasure Island is) run up until after Pleasure Island closes. They continue to send busses until the crowd at the bus stop caused by closure of PI is gone.

No first-hand experience with this actual situation, but . . .

We just got back from AKL & were told many times that Disney will run the buses until everyone is gone from the parks. They were returning people to AK (who got on our bus) who had parked their cars & hopped a bus to another park when AK closed at 5pm. This was after MK closed at 10pm.

We often heard our bus driver talk to dispatch about people waiting at stops, etc so they would send another bus over.

Even when we screwed up our transportation, a kind bus driver was there to bail us out.

ld, that's a great post question, we were wondering the same thing. Rental car or not we'd like to take a BUS to and FROM PI.

Officially, the last buses leave PI at 2:00 AM. They usually hold one bus there until 2:15 to take care of stragglers, but that is the last one. After that you can take a taxi.

Entertainment at most of the clubs ends around 12:45 am

FYI, Last call at most of the clubs is around 1 am. They start gently ushering you out of the clubs about 1:30 am and will gently start ushering you out of PI by about 1:45 am.

If you are there all the way to 2am, you will be one of maybe a dozen folks still there and yes, you will absolutely get a bus ride home.

Above posters are correct that there is bus service until a little after 2 am -- however, the really late buses only run from the bus stop in the center of the Downtown Disney complex. One night we left PI shortly after midnight and went out through the Marketplace side (which was how we came in). We sat for an hour with about a dozen other people at the Marketplace bus stop before we all figured out a bus was not coming. The lights and music at the stop were still on, leading us to believe the stop was "active," but it wasn't. We ended up hiking back to the central bus stop. Interestingly enough, the West Side bus stop was still operating at 1:15 am (we made a stop there on the way out).
