As some of you know, I am genuinely concerned about the current administration's economic policies. I fear that are current deficits are a drag on our economy. It is being financed by foreign countries like China and Japan. And I also worry about the growing gap between the haves and the have nots.

Well over 100 professors of business and economics sent an open letter to President Bush expressing these same concerns. Not long ago a number of Nobel prize winners in economics endorsed Kerry's economic plan.

If your interested in reading the letter, it's at this link.

Hey, I know 3 of these folks - I always knew they were smart! Thanks so much for the post!

Sounds like a commercial.... 100 out of 1000(s) business professors send a letter to President Bush...

is akin to 4 out of 5 dentists....

not sure this holds much clout....

Academia is known for it's vast libralism - this article doesn't hold any weight - no one cares.::yes::

I spent 8 years surrounded by PHd's who could split an atom, but could not tie their shoes. Not all are like this, but more schooling does not equal smarter. ::yes::

Experience, perservence and persistance is the best education! :teeth:

Wow... That sure is one quick way to shut down anybody who has ever bothered to study anything whatsoever. Economists are normally fiscally conversative ...regardless what their views on society might be. There are plenty of Republicans who do not approve of the overall economic trend of this administration ...many of them are willing to ignore their misgivings due to the war in Iraq... without the war I wonder if they would choose to sit this election out or vote for Kerry.

Former NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik: Kerry’s Uncertainty Makes Video "Scary" And "Extremely Difficult To Watch." "Former NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik, in Boston to stump for President Bush, saw the 11-minute video yesterday and called it ‘scary’ and ‘extremely difficult to watch.’ ‘This is a time when you don’t need someone to sit in the White House and not be sure of [his] commitment,’ Kerik said." I would be one of those Republicans who does not approve of the deficit spending of this administration. But there's not a chance in hell that a Kerry administration would give us less spending, and I'd challenge you to find a true fiscal conservative anywhere who would vote for Kerry based on that issue.

But that's where you err just a bit... The problem right now is with Democrats the minority party all around the top is off the pork barrel. Kerry/Edwards and a Republican majority is the ideal situation. Or Bush/Cheney and a Democratic majority. The only way to keep spending under control is a bi-partisan situation.

That said I have to admit...I couldn't possibly vote for a Bush/Cheney ticket even if the Democrats took over the house/senate. McCain/Cheney sure...
