Busiest times for DVC

Hi everyone,
I've heard a lot of about the beginning of December being a super popular time for villas, which means low availability, even if it's a relatively quiet time in the parks. Is there some comprehensive calendar for this sort of info, like the many crowd calendars around for WDW? Or just a list of busiest times would also help me out. We're very flexible for the dates, as long as it's not summer.

Pretty much late Sept through early January (after the marathon) is a busy time for DVC. Summertime isn't as busy. But all holidays are.

I was there in mid-Sept, 2008...we had originally booked a 2 BR and a Studio in mid-April of 2008 and wait listed for a Grand Villa...a few days before we left, we got the call and got the Grand Villa at OKW. They were busy...probably 90% Occupancy but it didn't feel that way. The parks were empty!

In November, 2011 and 2012 we were there the week of Thanksgiving both times. 2011 Reservation was made in May (?) and 2012 was made maybe 2-3 weeks before we left...it was really a last minute vacation. Both times in a 1 BR. 2011 at OKW and 2012 at SSR. Both felt busy--probably sold out even. SSR though spread out and newer felt busier when we were in the public areas. Parks got busier the closer we got to Thanksgiving.

I was also there in mid-December, 2010...we made the reservation early in the year but had a 2BR at OKW. It didn't feel busy at all. And the parks were empty!

Hope this helps even though they were a few years ago.
