Bush Gardens fun card

Do you have to be a Florida resident to get the fun card? (pay for a day, play for the year) Can you purchase it at the gate and is it more expensive there? I read maybe the military stationed in Florida can count as a resident, but what about dependents? Thanks, lots of random posts by me trying to decide what to do.

Well last year anyone could buy it - but seems like they changed the rules and only florida resident can buy it online.

you can hope at the gate they let anyone.

this is true for Seaworld too.
