Actually, EROS, if I thought this were a serious thread, with a serious point of view, I would have treated it as such.

I believe it was an attempt to belittle people's opinions ..... even people who may have some similar beliefs.

Rabble rousing and beating the ANTI war drum are just as loud and offensive as the war drums currently being beaten out of DC.


It's called rhetoric. Pumping up yourself. Making the opponent sense his own mortality and fear.

Actually I think CRB had an excellent point. One can argue the bloodshed and willingness to go to war if one argues the points logically. WHen you start name calling of anyone it all goes down hill.

Nikole, there's little logic behind killing. Sure, nations always offer their best rationale for starting wars. However, the decision to start killing other human beings is seldom a logical, rationale decision. You give Bush and his cronies too much credit, but certainly you're entitled to your view. When animals smell blood, and I hate to report that WE ARE STILL ANIMALS, their reaction is almost instinctive..........Bush wants to KILL, and he's attempting to seek any and all rationalizations possible........

GINA, I'm not seeking to change anyone's mind here. I'm simply stating my views about a tragedy which is about to unfold. It's clear that most DISers support the President. I'm just offering that killing does NOT have to be inevitable........

Saddam Hussein is being given one more chance to comply with the UN (personally I've lost track of just how many "chances" this makes) but anyhow - if he DOESN'T comply, what do you suggest we do then?

How many times do you ask your son to do his chores or whatever before he runs out of chances and has to suffer the consequences?

Just when do the "chances" run out and you feel it's okay to say, "Enough is enough.." Or will that time EVER come?

And please - don't sidestep these questions with a bunch of mumbo jumbo - or worse yet, ignore them all together..

Your stand is to give Saddam yet another chance.. Please make a statement now as to what happens if he DOESN'T comply..
