We are staying at POR at the end of the month. My dad, who is 86, might accompany us. I would like to be sure he gets a seat on the bus. I was all set to request AB, and catch the bus at the Main Depot, and then I read on another thread that the bus actually stops at the East Depot, behind Magnolia Terrace, first. Could anyone help me out? I know room/building requests aren't guaranteed, but I thought I sould try. Thanks so much!

If your Dad needs any kind of special assistance for the busses, I would suggest taking them from the stop in front of the main building, especially in the morning. Usually, there is a bus dispatcher in the front and they could help you out.

If it is that you just want to make sure that he can always have a seat, I would still take it from the front. Disney brings out the manners in us all and I have seen many a younger person offer up their seat on the bus to an elderly individual.

I would also request a room in the AB section that was close to the front so that he won't have much trouble getting to the food court and back.

Enjoy!

When I was at POFQ last summer we stopped at the main depot up front first every time. We then went to all the other depots before exiting for the parks. No one ever had to stand. That was July.

We were in MT and were the last to be picked up in December. Had to stand quite a few times. I would suggest the front, main, depot too.

Having just returned from a stay at POFQ, the bus does stop at the main building first then on to the other stops. If your dad uses a wheelchair he will be given priority seating on a bus that has handicap seating, there are 6 seats on the bus that are designated for handicap, elderly. If someone who is not handicap/elderly is seated in one of these seats they must give up the seat for someone who is. If he is not using a wheelchair then speak to the bus driver about your dads need for a seat.
You would hope that someone would give up their seat, but who knows.... Be warned that there are many people at the end of the day waiting for the PO buses, we waited through 6 busses one night to get on and they cram as many people as they can seated and standing on the bus.

If you can you may want to consider changing resorts to POFQ. The resort is smaller, the main building is close to most of the other buildings and there is only one bus stop. As the other posters indicated the buses stop at the POFQ first.
We stayed at the POFQ in June and in December last year. There were quite a few times where the guests staying at the POR were standing. If the buses were full they would by pass the POR, I'm sure they called for another bus. But we were glad we were staying at the POFQ.

I agree with Helenk, you might want to change to POFQ. It is much easier to navigate and only one bus stop.
