I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO POST THIS SO I APOLOGIZE IF THIS IS THE WRONG SPOT!

We are heading to Busch Gardens in Tampa for a few days. We will have two days in the park. Our little one is 3 1/2. The park hours are from 10 - 5 pm. Any advice on touring tips? Must sees? Etc.

Thanks in advance!!

I'd also love to talk about BG.

We'll be going in January/February of 2009. We'll have a few days that we can go, and it's just my wife and I.

I'd love to hear about shows, and attractions, as well as any tips or strategies. We'll avoid MLK weekend and SuperBowl weekend (well... we'll avoid weekends in general)... :)

Hi

We enjoy Busch Garden a lot. In my opinion since you have a 3.5 yr old, the first advise that I recommend to you is to go to Stanleyville and the new Jungala area. These two areas are designed more for younger kids.

Also take them to see all the great animal exhibits throughtout the park, the new white tiger exhibit is very good in my opinion. Also take the overhead skyride and the train ride that go over and around the Serengetti plain animal area.

I don't remember if Rhino Rally has any height limitations, if possible, I highly recomend it.

For the older folks, we enjoy all the great coasters! Montu, Kumba and Sheikra are can't miss.

hope this helped.

i went once and really didn't enjoy it at all. It was the 1st week and Sept and a number of rides weren't open.

I found it dirty and below par compared to Disney, Universal AND Seaworld.

But the rides i did were good and really enjoyed the safari.

We love BG in Williamsburg, and we went to BG in Tampa in the summer 2005.

We were really dissapointed in the park because of the heat. We didn't really enjoy it, as everything was outdoors except for one show and the heat was unbearable. No place to get out of the heat.

There were some fun rides - the newest roller coaster was GREAT - try to get the front.

Don't forget they have baby swap's there, so you can still ride the big rides. The kids loved the safari ride, but the line was horrendous. We found all lines long here, but maybe since your not going in the heat of the summer it won't be as bad.

By having two days, you can hopefully stop to smell the roses. We did NOT have time to see the little animal exhibits because we didn't have enough time.

Have a great time - I really wish we would have been able to enjoy it more, because we really do have fun at BG Williamsburg.

We will be there later this month, including a tour during Howl O Scream. :cool1: I will post when we return, although it will be from an adult trip perspective.

Thanks everybody - I will take all your advice just do my best with touring!

We're heading over this weekend....on sunday, I was more interested to see if they still had that meal plan for $27.95. We're traveling with a 10yr old and a 12 yr old who are old enough and big enough for the bigger rides, so that's not the issue. My main issue was just cost. Thanks!!!

I look forward to hearing about your experiences, we are just considering a winter trip with a 9YO and 12YO.

Anybody ever been during the Christmas/New Year's holiday?

Thanks much.

We went yesterday, Very nice weather until the end, when it started raining, low crowds, not too many lines for hardly anything. The tiger exhibit in jungala was AWESOME!!!! They did still have the meal plan, TOO much food for one short day open. My husband played one of the carnaval games and brought hom a dog bigger then me, it was nice :) Now what do I do with the dog??? Anyways, we had a fun day....the animals were beautiful, and the rides were great! Great time!! So, when ya'll go, go during a slow time that's for sure!!
