My DD will be going with a friend to Busch Gardens next week and wants to take advantage of the free ticket through the Here's to the Heroes program. My DH (her sponsor) will not be going. On one of the eligibility pages it says - "Dependents may take advantage of the offer without their service member, though an adult must accompany minor dependents, and dependent ages 10 and over must present valid dependent I.D." BUT on the actual E-ticket you print is says "Valid military identification reflecting active status and dependent ID required for offer."

So does it mean he DOES need to be with her, or does she need something proving his active status, or am I just reading too much into it? Has anyone had any trouble with a dependent going without the sponsor?

I take this to mean she needs to show her ID card showing her sponsor is AD. (I assume they still say this? Mine as a kid said my dad was USAF AD.)

And she needs to be with an adult if she is under 18.

I can't imagine (?) them requiring you go with your sponsor since, for some, that person is deployed.

Yep. She just needs to bring her ID and it has to say active duty dependent on it. :)
