So, I went to Busch Gardens - Williamsburg yesterday and bought my 2 year platinum pass (2 years all busch gardens parks) and had a very nice day.

However, I learned a few things, even though I only go to Disney 2 or 3 times a year, I have been spoiled. I refused to get into any line if the wait was longer than 20 minutes. I'm thinking, why don't they have fast passes here :confused3.

Come to find out that they are taking lessons from Universal, you can purchase a quick line pass for $24.95 a day :scared1: BUT it's only good for one ride on 10 different attractions, so you are paying $2.50 per ride to get a shorter line.

Also, this year they are going are going to be open for Christmas  BUT, it's not included in your annual pass - it's a separate admission !! However, they will give pass holders 50% off.

I am way too spoiled.

BG-W opened for Christmas... WOW what an interesting concept...

We may have to plan on that just to see what they are up to.

They were "advertising" it on the tv screens in line for the Big Bad Wolf - looked pretty cool, they mentioned special shows and shopping. I can't wait to check it out - I think it's going to be going on from Nov 27 - Dec 27.

Even the kids I was with were spoiled - we waited in line for the big bad wolf for 30 minutes and still weren't half way though. I was will to put up with it, but the 8 year old said he didn't want to wait anymore.

It's been about 2 years since I was last there and they have changed a lot of the shops, the ones in France don't sell items from France anymore, they got rid of the scottish merchandise in Scottland, it's now a Budwise store. At least the German stores still has the hummels, the stines and christmas ornaments.

Hmm...

I wonder in the one here in Tampa Bay will do the same thing ?

I'm spoiled, too. I'd gladly pay $2.50 a ride to avoid the line.

They did this at our local Six Flags. It was costing much more than that though. Making a one day ticket with front of the line access close to $160:scared1: That is just nuts for a day pass. Needless to say they might be going out of business.

What a small world. I, too, was at Busch Gardens Williamsburg yesterday. I even wore my Dis Unplugged tee shirt.

I saw the information at the Big Bad Wolf ride as well, but I already knew about the Christmas stuff.

Should be interesting.

We are headed to Busch Gardens Williamsburg in June. I noticed that they offered a FOTL pass- for a price. We decided against it just couldn't justify the cost. We'll get there early and hope for the best. This will be our first trip there also expect that this is a one shot deal, so I don't expect that we will ever go to the Christmas event, but I can't say that I am schocked that it is not part of the AP, these companies know that people will pay the extra cost to go to these events so in their (coporate) minds, why include it in the AP if many of those same AP holders will pay for a special event. I do think AP holders of any park should have some extra special perks, I just think that these companies see it working for others and figure why not!

Hey, fellow Virginians!

I have the fun card, but am interested to see what the Christmas thing will be like. I can't look at the website now as I'm at work, but does anyone know what the special price will be?

The fun card is only good through August, and I have no interest in Howl-o-Scream, so I would have to purchase a 1-day ticket if I went to the Christmas thing.

Hmm...

OMG!!!! I know this is off topic but disney mommy I pass you everyday on the way to work. I have often wondered if you were a diser! :goodvibes

What?!

I don't flip you off, do I? :rolleyes1
What a small world! What do you drive? I'll have to wave at you tomorrow.:car:

Did you know what my plate meant? People ask me if I'm from New York and they think it's "D's New York Ma," 'cuz my son's name starts with a D.

The park will open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 4:00pm to 9:00 pm beginning Nov. 27, 2009. The week of Dec. 18 to 27 (except Dec. 25) the park will open everyday 4 to 9.

Certain areas (and rides) of the park will be open...depending on the weather.

If you are a season pass holder the ticket price is $9.95 per person, if you are not, then the price is $19.95. I am not sure if there are discounts if you are a fun card holder. Tickets are available for purchase now.

That is all the information that I have discovered...so far.

LOL!!!! That tunnel would make a nun flip someone off!! LOL! Gray Nissan Altima....I'll put my sparkle lime green mickey head magnet on tonight!!

I don't want to get in trouble highjacking a thread. I can PM you later but I am heading to bed right now.

Oops I forgot! Oh yes I knew what your plate meant. Anything with a D-N and Y translates to Disney in my brain.

I go from the Western Branch area of Chesapeake through the Downtown Tunnel into downtown Norfolk.

If anyone sees me, honk. But maybe honk 3 times. Cuz if you only honk once, I'm liable to think you're insulting my driving prowess and flip you off. :rolleyes1

Maybe we should put the lime green heads in our windows so we can wave to each other!

I found out my Mickey head magnet won't stick on the trunk. So right now it is on the passenger side by the back window. I am going to make a matching one for the drivers side.

I'm in Northern suffolk I go throught the tunnel out to Independence
Ugh!

Maybe I could stand on the side of the road and hold up a sign! "All Dis'ers stop here!" LOL!

That is too cool, I would have said hello if I'd seen you. I had on my new WDW shirt I bought on my last trip.

I want to check out the nightly show they have in the outdoor theater, so I'm thinking of going one Friday night after my cousin gets out of school, we never seem to make it that late since we start so early.

I started a new thread here to continue what I started on this thread.
