bus ???

What time do they run until? If I have HDD ressies for the 9:30 show will the busses still be running?

That would depend on what time the parks close that night and where you're trying to go. If MK is still open that late on that night you could catch the boat (the dock is right next to Pioneer Hall) to MK, then catch a bus (or monorail) to your resort. If MK is not open late you might see if one of the other parks is having EMH that night and catch a bus to that park and transfer. Otherwise your best bet would catch a bus to Downtown and then back to your resort, but that will probably take awhile. The other option, and the one we have done in the past is to just catch a cab. Costs a little bit, but direct and quick.

not to worry... it has been our experience that buses will be waiting right outside the door to HDDR to take guests back to their resorts... basically they group the resorts by location and take a few resorts worth of guests on the same bus... a driver will be standing by the door of the bus saying "cbr, pop, all stars" or "yacht club, beach club, boardwalk" etc and you just climb on the bus to your resort and off you go... you will obviously have to stop at other resorts along the way, but disney really makes it easy for their guests to get where they are going... they will not leave you stranded!

Wow, that didn't happen when we were there late that night... although it was several years ago. Since that time we have always booked the early HDD to avoid the problem. That trip we were at the Poly so it was easy for us to catch the boat back to the resort, but when we looked over to the bus stop area there were no busses there. We commented on it, wondering how long it would take others to get back to their resorts.

I'm still a bit concerned as I called FW directly to ask about this and they said the only way to get back would be to go to DTD??? I have no choice for the dining time as that is all they have available although I could change my ressie to the extended hour night at MK and rely on the boat to get us back to MK.....which should I do?

I got on a bus at 11:30 from MK when it closed late, you should be fine

Don't worry, be happy

As Tyler (who drives the WDW busses) would say "Don't believe any CM regarding transportation questions unless they are wearing purple pants". Btw, WDW bus drivers wear purple pants.

Resort CMs do not have the correct information on bus service.
