I just got off the phone with the tour rep and she said to talk to guest services at SSR and they will help with transportation for an 8:15 am tour. I thought there was a char. breakfast bus as early as 7:00 am? This isn't a EE day for MK. Any ideas on how to get there that early?

There are buses that go to the parks that early for the character breakfasts and for the tours.
You will need to give yourself extra time because the buses are not running as frequently that early. I would be at the bus stop by 7:15 that will give you time to wait for the bus and then the travel time to the MK.

Last Dec I had a tour, KTTK, booked for 8:30 if I remember correctly. MK did not open early that day. I got to the bus stop at the Dolphin about 7:10...I know that was early but I tend to obsess. I hopped on a bus about 7:20, got to MK at about 7:45 and was very early for my tour!!
The restaurants start booking breakfasts by 7:00-7:30, 7:30 at the latest. You should have no trouble getting a bus at that time.
For an 8:15 time, I would be out at the bus stop by 6:45, no later than 7.

ok, thank you! How did you like the tour, was it go go go? Or could you sit and rest at times? What did you end up doing for the rest of the day?

My mother and I took the tour in 2004 and we both really enjoyed it, the tour was very imformative. It is a lot of walking, but it really was not so fast paced that you felt as though you needed a break. Our guide let us take a bathroom break and we got to ride on the Jungle Cruise and the Haunted Mansion so you are able to rest. We also had lunch at Columbia House about mid way into the tour.
After the tour we just stayed in the MK and finished out our day there.

I enjoyed it a lot!! Our guide gave us more than ample time to sit down. He was really very good at making stops, both for just sitting and for rest rooms. I wasn't tired at all at the end. I can't remember what I did the rest of the day! I probably went off and met some other DIS friends someplace or the other. I do believe that I left the MK though.
