Bus service at BW?

I'm thinking of staying at the BWV in the near future. How is the bus system to MK & AK? I know we can walk to Epcot & MGM from there, but I'll probably have a couple of teens with me who'll want to spend some time on their own. How is transportation to DD as well?

I'm glad to hear that you are staying at BW it is great!!
I'm sorry to say that the bus service is not too great to AK or DD or the waterparks. If you have a car I would strongly recommend driving there.
The trips to MK can be ok, but the return is usually awfully crowded.
The problem I have complained to WDW Transportation about is That Boardwalk shares a bus with The Swan, The Dolphin, The Yacht Club, and the Beach Club.
Too many resorts sharing one bus every 20 minutes.
It is not too bad in the mornings but watch out at closings.
You should call 407-WDW-RIDE and ask them how they plan to make this work,
IF everyone that stayed at these resorts called 407-WDW-RIDE and gave them their opinion I think they could get the picture!!
We have always had fun anyway and Boardwalk is our home resort since 1998!!

When we were staying at BWV this February, we had excellent bus service. I don't believe we waited any longer then 10 minutes for any bus. Of course we were at WDW during President's week, which could account for better then average bus service.

The service to DD is always in question, but I have found that the case for most of the resorts.

One things that I noticed was during our visit the buses to the Swan/Dolphin were seperate from BWV/YC/BC.

A couple of times, we just jumped on the Swan/Dolphin bus and walked over to the Boardwalk.
