Hello Friends-

Been a while since I have been to Disney (5 years flies by!). I have a question about travel times at park close. If I leave the parks at the "worst" possible time, such as after fireworks, Illuminations, or Fantasmic, and I don't rush to the bus stops, instead simply moseying out of the parks at a leisurely pace, how bad will bus lines be these days... 30 min? 45 min? an hour?

I just can't be one of these people stampeding around but I will have kids and am just curious as to about what time I'll be getting back to the resort with them.

If more specific info helps, I'll be heading for AoA each night. :)

The only thing I can say is do not leave when everyone else leaves it is a madhouse. Wait until the rush is over.

The values have started running the articulated "double" busses at park close, at least for MK. Twice as many people get on each bus so it makes the waits somewhat shorter.

On our last trip we were at the MK for the fireworks which closed the park that night. We then went over and sat at a bench near the castle and watched the swarms of people storm down Main Street to the exits. After 15-20 minutes or so we slowly walked around and did some window shopping. By the time we got to the bus area all was peaceful and quiet.

Never try to leave any park at closing time. Do anything to kill time so you can avoid the stampede

Excellent. That is exactly our plan. Give the throng about a twenty-thirty minute head-start, peek in some shops on the way out, and hopefully things will be decent when I hit the bus stop. :)

Thanks for the feedback!

We've never had too much problem leaving whenever other people weren't:thumbsup2 either earlier,or later...I like the parks after they empty a bit, it's dark, and things look different....grab a snack, shop, sit and relax.... no hurry no worry!
