Sorry if this has been answered before, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the transport at WL to the parks. Is it true there is just a boat to MK or is there a bus as well??
The boat to (and from) MK from WL runs regularly and is a fun way to travel. Our 5-yr old loves it, and actually, so do wifey and I. You may have to swing by the FW boat dock first, but that only adds a few minutes to the trip. Some complain the wait can be long, and during peak times of the day and at night, that is so. But, a little planning and patience makes this a very enjoyable way to get back and forth between MK and WL.
There is also a bus that goes directly to MK now, right up to the main gates as one poster has already mentioned. The buses used to go to TTC where you could switch to the monorail or the like, but apparently Disney figured there might be a need for a direct bus. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the bus makes a stop somewhere enroute to pick up more passengers on the way to MK. Still, it's easier than driving yourself.
What happens about getting there early for a character breakfast?
The buses begin running early enough in the mornings to transport you to whatever park you need for a character breakfast. There have been other threads that directly answer this and related questions, though you'd have to do a search for it as I don't have the thread topic handy. At WL, there is also a transportation CM standing at the bus stop with a radio who keeps in touch with the TTC and the approximate arrival times of the various buses to each park. If you have any real concerns, he can likely help you.
Is it bus to the other parks?
I'm assuming you're asking about buses to other parks, and the answer is "yes." There are buses to the other theme parks, as well as the water parks. Some of these share the same bus, however. For a hypothetical example, if you want to go to the Animal Kingdom, that same bus may make a stop at Typhoon Lagoon on the way. But, wherever you need to go, there is a bus designated to go there. If you have any other concerns, I feel certain one of the transportation gurus who regularly scan this site will help you out. Good luck!
