Bus back to resort after the parks close

So if we have a dinner reservation at 6 pm at the Rainforest Cafe at the Animal Kingdom, and the park closes at 6 pm how will we get back to our hotel around say 7 or 7:30? Will the buses still be running?

Yes they will. We caught a bus after eating there 2 hours after AK closed.

I was going to say if they're not still running, you could easily get an Uber or taxi. It would be just a few bucks (probably less than $15) either way.

The standard company line by Disney is the buses run at least an hour after the park closes, so you should be good until @ 7:00. After that, as noted above, you may need uber or a taxi.

We asked a CM at Rainforest Café this question last year, and we were told that they will run buses until the last guests who were eating where gone.

Remember people may park at AK, then take a bus to another park and stay til closing. So those people will still be using buses to get back to their car at AK. So if buses are coming to AK, they have to be going somewhere afterwards. In other words - you'll be fine for quite a while.

A CM told me that Disney busses run until all guest get back to their hotel. you may be put in a buss with people from other hotels like all the all stars on one hotel all the MK hotels on one things like this, but you will be able to get back using Disney busses.

Same here. I used my time after park close to take photos and go to places I can't go when there are people in the park. I'm allergic to smoke and avoid certain areas like the Wishing Well when the park is open. After watching Kiss Goodnight and doing photos we were the only ones in the park. We had our own bus back to Pop. I find it the safest way for me to leave the parks as I won't run into any smokers as they are leaving the park. I try never to leave the park when everyone else is as that is a death trap for me.
