Bus back to DHS after Illuminations

We are going to Epcot on 2/25 and only want to go to World Showcase. If we park at DHS & ride boat to IG, how late will the boat run back to DHS? DHS is open until 8 that night and we might stay & watch Illuminations, so it would be after 9 when we needed the boat back to DHS. Will this work? Or should I come up with another plan.

The boats stop servicing the park 1 hour after park closing, so the boats will still be running to the resorts, but not to DHS.

You could ride the boat to the Boardwalk and walk the rest of the way (still about a mile walk), or go to the front of the park and take a bus. Park-to-park buses run until the park you are leaving is empty.

Found this out the hard way. On a very convoluted day, DD and I parked at DHS, walked to WS for lunch and walked back to DHS (yup, worked off lunch!). Then a friend of hers who works at S/D met us at DHS (why she didn't leave her car where it was I will never know) to keep me company while DD went to SeaWorld for a Polar Express rehearsal. Hopped over to Epcot for drinks & Illuminations then found out we couldn't take the boat to DHS. Pointless to walk back to the bus so we walked to the furthest corner of the furthest parking lot at DHS. She then attempted to drop me back off at Boardwalk, my original destination but I didn't want her to walk alone, but the gate attendant would not let her in to do so. So poor kid had to bring me to Disney Springs where I was meeting my daughter. Good thing we had done a fair amount of drinking
