Mike- age 32, husband and willing particpant
Kaitlyn- age 9, daughter
Kelly- age 6, daughter and birthday girl
Declan- age 2, son
Laura- age 50, my sister and helper!
Wilderness Lodge 8/13-8/20
Day 6- OMG I am so tired and I dont want to get up. BUT I have to get up because 60 days ago I got up at 6am to make a PS for the Castle. So we have to go. IT was hard getting three very sleepy kids up at 7:15am, they really didnt really care about the castle in their sleepy state. Mike's feet were killing him and he really didnt care about going to the castle decided to stay at WL and sleep.
Laura picked us up and we headed to MK. We had to do that stupid tram (folding up the stroller for the millionth time), then the stupid monorail, then the stupid security check (can you tell I am tired and irritated?). Then as alwasy we get stuck behind someone with an annual pass in the turnstile with that stupid finger printing machine that never works! So we had to book it to the Castle for our 8:25 PS. By the time we got there we were all hot and sweaty. The princesses started coming by our table right away so we had not time to relax. We saw, Cindy, Mary Poppins, Snow White, Aurora and Belle. The food was terrible, nothing like paying through the nose for some hard french toast sticks and raw bacon. YUCK! Been there twice now, that's enough for me. NEVER AGAIN.
Anyway it was time for the Surprise Celebration by the castle so we get a semi shadey spot. Wee had taped this our last trip so we knew all the words to the songs. By the way, what happened to the doves that would fly out when Minnie opened the love bix? Now she just pulls flowers out of the box.
We promised Kaitlyn some shopping so we hit Tinkerbelle Treasures where Declan picked up some Peter Pan items and Kelly got the design your crown. Here is a pic of Declan in his Peter Pan hat:
We wanted to see Ariel in her grotto but the wait was 40 minutes and it was way too hot out. We did Small World with no wait and then over to Aladdin. Sis and I shared a Dole Whip while kids had ice cream. We then did some shopping on Main Street and got a few autographs from Max (Goofy's son) and Meeko. Kids and I took the boat back to WL while Laura drove to CSR.
We got back to WL around 1pm and Mike had just gotten up. We grabbed some lunch at Roaring Forks and then went for a swim. I guess at this time Mike and I had hit the wall of how much togetherness we could take and had a spat. We spent most of the time swimming on separate ends of the pool.
Anyway, we got changed and headed offsite for dinner at our favorite ribs place-Tony Romas. We ate like pigs as the sky turned black and it rained like I had never seen it rain before. THe power kept flickering on and off. (We found out the next day that a tornado had been spotted near Pleasure Island). Declan slept through the whole dinner.
We took Mike and Declan back to hotel and then us girls braved the rain and hit Downtown Disney. Weonly did World of Disney and Once Upon a Toy due to the rain. We got some goodies, including the potato heaed parts. Got a sundae at McDonalds and headed back to WL. Mike and Declan were in the bar so we sat and I had a drink while we watched Monday Night Preseason football. Declan told us about a little english girl he met named Eve. I guess she was pretty cute!!
Off to bed.
