On the way to work this morning it was dark and I saw two little buunies dart out in front of my car. One was far enough ahead that I knew it would make it, but the other....well, bump.....

Well, this afternoon, on my way home from work, I drove past the scene of the murder, and OMG both were dead.:scared1:

I killed the Easter Bunny and his little friend. I'm the grim reaper of cute little bunnies.

Sounds like you could have made a donation to the Road Kill Cafe, where they give new meaning to "fresh off the grill". :thumbsup2

Oh no! Once I saw a bunny run out in front of my car and when I looked in the rearview mirror, I saw him tumbling around...I felt TERRIBLE. But then I made myself feel better by saying he was a stunt bunny. (no flames please, I really do love animals and I really did feel bad!)

Oh dear, the other lil one must've went back out in the road to check on it's sibling and was run over by someone else. :sad1:
My DH accidently ran over a nest last Easter in his riding mower and killed one of the babies. Since then we have become the proud owner of two rescued rabbits and love them dearly.

I thought this was going to be about chocolate bunnies. You know, "I started at the ears and before I knew it: Bunny Carnage!"

I was coming home from an event during my senior year in high school, and it was around 2 AM, and I was exhausted. A bunny ran out right in front of my car, and I couldn't brake fast enough. I cried for 4 days and refused to go to school or eat. I was really heartbroken.

Awww!!! I love bunnies and I would be very, very upset if I ran over one! :sad1:

It's kinda mean but ... two less bunnies to get into someone's garden.

One time, I hit our state bird.

I am telling you, that thing was flying low. I was on the interstate, so I couldn't stop.

eeww gross.

That seems like how my reaction would be. Especially a bunny :(

I hit a possum once and that is the extent of my animal killing with my car. I am a HUGE animal lover and I felt bad but not as bad as I would if I hit a squirrel or bunny or even worse, a cat or dog :sad1:

:sad1:

We ran over a squirrel once and it was really upsetting. I think a poor bunny would be even worse. :( It's not the thought, so much, of killing them, but of them being in pain before they die. :guilty:

That was quite heartless!!

Magic Mom, it's all a part of the Circle of Life (it always makes me feel better to tell myself that).

I have a bunny as a pet and I don't know what I would do if something happened to her, but these were wild bunnies and things like this happen.

Several times, I have had birds dive bomb the front of my car or van and there was nothing we could do about it.

When I was a teen driver I saw a raccoon for the first time and ran right over him. I was so distraught that I had to pull over and my mom had to drive.

So sad. I know I would have cried. One darted out in front of my car yesterday in the near dark am....and luckily I could stop in time. I know the car behind me wondered what I was doing, stopping in the middle of the road.

Exactly. I can't bear the thought of those poor things laying on the cement, suffering until they pass away. :guilty:
