My DD has asked for a bunkbed for her American Girl dolls.Anyone know where I might find one?I have found a few on Ebay but with shipping it comes to $60.I would like to find a less expensive option. :confused3

I just checked on QVC. Last year I got a great deal...I have three girls and too many American Girl dolls. They don't have what I got last year, but they do have one for 40.

I am not sure what the Mill store is but I just checked QVC.I will get that one if I don't find anything cheaper in the next few days. Thanks!

My daughter got a cute doll bunkbed at Target. It is for their type of AG dolls, but it works great for our AG dolls and was only $15-20. Hope this helps.

do you have an unfinished furniture store near you. I purchased all my daughter's there and just finished it myself. The amount of money saved was UNBELIEVABLE!

We just checked out our local unfinished furniture store (WoodStuff) and found a bunk bed for $60 but the quality was poor - gouges in the wood and such, a little grimy. A single bed is $30 but the wrong era for DD AG Kirsten. Now the $58 to buy her bed from AG doesn't seem so high, especially since it is painted and comes with the mattress and pillow.

I agree the unfinished furniture is worth checking out, because it might work for you.

I have checked two Targets and online. No luck yet.

I got my DDs doll beds from Ikea. It was a couple years ago, though. They were cheap - like $15.

I know the mill stores used to carry them. I'm not sure of the price though.

Thank you for letting me know about the Mill Stores -- I checked their website and they have over a dozen different pieces of doll furniture suitable for AGD. Since they are in New England, I was able to find a store about 45 minutes from my home in the Boston suburbs. I was thrilled by the prices and the quality is just fine. We bought DD9 the bunkbed for AGD Kirsten (and a friend) for $24.88. The Kirsten-style solid pine trunk was only $14.88, complete with heart-shaped hand-holds and is nearly the same size as the trunk in the AGD catalog. We also bought a table and 2 chairs - chairs were only $3.49 each and the table, with drawer, was on sale for $7. We also bought Williamsburg "cupboard blue" paint for all the unfinished pieces. The total for everything was about the same as the WoodStuff price for one poorly made bunkbed. Even DH was impressed and that is saying something!
