There is much ado about the problems the Bora Bora Bungalows and the Copper Creek Cabins cause in their respective resorts.
I just put this together - and as you will see - the Cabins do fare a lot better then the bungalows.
From today 7/26 until the end of August here is a look at availability, with the number of cabins and bungalows available to book

That 37 days.
20 Bungalows is 740 Bungalow-Nights - meaning currently over 1/3 of the bungalows are unused by DVC members.

No way how to tell how many of the Bungalows were booked with actual Polynesian points - but certainly looks like a cash cow for DVD. The Cabins did do a lot better than I expected, although again, no idea how many of them were actually booked with CCV points

I've always thought the Cabins probably strain CCV but don't strain DVC overall that much (unlike the Bungalows). Will be much easier for CCV owners to absorb a point reallocation to correct the issues there (BLT Lake View Point charts significantly lower the cabins); however, PVB is already tied for the most costly nights with VGF and likely a reallocation there would cause bigger waves (making PVB the most expensive point wise, likely MF cost per night).

Also breakage starts 60 days out. So I wonder what September looks like. I assume similar patterns with Cabins maybe higher occupancy because the point charts start to drop a lot.

Possibly, but that reallocation would be the end of matching charts for BRV & CCV. Can't even imagine how that could be spun favorably!

Sure but that no longer matters for DVC because they aren't actively selling CCV. I wouldn't be too happy about the reallocation but my statement was more that CCV could handle the correction much better than PVB. PVB has the limitation of only studios and bungalows then if they did the reallocation the studios would be the highest on property.

The bigger reason I don't see them every correcting this is because lowering the points, lowers the cash rate they can command for the units. Obviously it will never be spun that way.

Great stuff. It is things like this that have destroyed my faith in Disney. They clearly thought they could slip one in on us, and they did. Unfortunately, we couldn't help noticing because of all the poor effects it has had on DVC. They KNEW IN ADVANCE exactly what they were doing. They KNEW that nobody was going to spend the points to stay there, so the points would just crowd the system and Disney would literally make out like a bandit by renting the Bungalows out. Shame Disney. Shame Shame on YOU.

Cabins are likely more popular because their points requirements are more closely aligned with Grand Villa requirements at many resorts. The bungalow point requirements are just totally off the rails

Where does one get information that tells you how many bungalows or cabins (or any other particular rooms) are open on any given day? The reservation system that we are used to tells us whether there is an opening but not how many

Sorry if this is a dumb question but where do you see the number of available rooms (in this case cabins/bungalows)on a given day? I have never been able to find that. TIA!
