For those of you that care about location of buildings and views I stayed in building 24 my last visit and foung them to be excellent for location and view. Just when I thought I stayed just about everywhere at OKW I got room 2421 and found it to be a real joy. It is very close to the main pool, has a bus stop right there, and the views are some of the best. For those of you that are big on this kind of thing I would recommend them. They were also renovated recently.

We always request one of the units in that bubble. Seem to remember the odd units being non-smokers,evens were smokers..something like that.

Well we better not say too much about these buildings or you might find yourself in trouble getting one of them the next time you go to OKW. I was in non-smoking building 24. Another woderful spot that people seem to like a lot is down the end of Old Turtle Pond Road. I think there are some, believe it or not that like South Point. I don't really care about location like some just as long as I am on the top floor it is ok with me whereever I am. I have to say when you don't ask for a given area you can find yourself down the South Point area a lot if you go during popular times. At any rate I found building 24 to be very much to my liking, maybe I will start asking for particular locations from now on.

We were in bldg 26 on our first trip 3 years ago. We were on the end closest to 25 and had both a pond and golf green view. I was thinking about that room this weekend because I saw the space shuttle go up one morning from the porch. I checked the ksc site and it was Atlantis.

hi, we stayed in 2512 our last trip in september and we have made ressies for SIL and BIL for Feb 9-14 and we requested either 24 or 26 for them because they are not smokers.we will always request building 25 for our stays at OKW on our future trips.

I've not visited OKW yet, but from studying the map I've always thought they would be ideal for us, as we won't be using a car. But I don't want to have to ask for too many requests and we will already have to asking for non-smoking (on health grounds for my friend) and probably first floor :( because of small children, strollers and, again my friend!!

So my question is - how far does the Peninsular Road area cover? Buildings 27-29 don't look a bad location and if I was to just ask for the specific area I might not sound too picky!! But where could I end up?!!

I requested 23 to 26 for our second trip and we got 28. Be aware that 28 & 29 have heavy trees around them, not much of a view, especially on the first floor. It's located on a fairway, so I guess they put the trees up to protect the buildings from ball hits.

Right across from 28 on the other side of the fairway was a big pond. I requested that area for our next trip (Turtle Pond Road, water view) and we had a great view from buiding 31, first floor. Lots of ducks, birds & bunnies. 1 bedroom, I believe it was 3111. If you don't have a car, it's a little far from the main building but there is a bus stop nearby.

Pa@okw95,

I agree 100%! We have always felt that builings 23, 24, 25, and 26 are the beat kept secrets for building requests. When traveling with a friend who was recovering from open heart surgery, we requested a location close to the Hospitality House and landed in 24. We have since requested that area for every trip, including our upcomming trips.

I suspect many others have also discovered this excellent locaiton!

Okay, so now I'm going to sound like a real wimp, but does this mean we are more likely to visited by creepy crawlies in such a location?!!

I own a teeny, tiny piece of building #25. I tried it once and I agree that the location is great. Only problem for me was that is/was a smoking building. :(

On our first OKW stay we got building 23 & thought it was great. Close enough to the main pool - a great view of the golf course & a pond. We were on the first floor, which we also enjoyed.

Just made ressies for our next stay & I thought I would just take what they gave us so we could try another spot, but now I'm thinking I may call back to request one of these buildings. What do you think?

So far in 4 stays there that is the area that we have gotten each time....the first time I wanted a first floor (not knowing that it was basically handicapped rooms) and it was in building 24 (I think it was below 2419). Next time we had 2419 (AWESOME ROOM!!! - view is just awesome, we could go out on the balcony and see the high in the sky part of Illuminations and the golf course water area was right out the balcony - it was just an awesome room!!!). This past time I got 2421 (room is opposite 2419 - everything is on the opposite side of the room) and the view was not that great. Then on my stay the night before I left I had 2624, which was non-smoking, and the bus stop was behind it and a bit nosey in the morning and late at night but an awesome spot cause you got off the bus and got right to your room.

I just LOVE that whole 23, 24, 25, 26 building area!!!! I do have to agree that it appears that most of the 1st floor rooms have very little view. When we were in the first room we had we couldn't stand on the balcony because of the tree that was growing into it (the branches anyway). But the location was awesome!
