Building Request at POR - Help!

Hi! We are leaving Sunday for our WDW vacation. Last year I called the resort directly and requested a specific building. I called again this year and the resort told me to through WDW travel. I didn't book my trip through WDW travel, I used DU, so WDW travel can't help me. I asked our DU travel agent to help, but I was wondering if this sounded right to any of you. Is this something that the resort can't do any longer? We stayed in the Oak Manor last year and we really liked it and that is where we wanted to stay again this year.

We asked our DU agent to put in the building/room request for us, too. Just got back yesterday and we had the room we asked for. POR was less crowded than I expected it to be this time of year and that probably had alot to do with it. The parking lot wasn't half full, even this past weekend.
