Bugs Land?

Wow, my kid was *freezing* once he was done playing. His lips were turning blue he was so cold. And this was in September, when I see twinspluscade and (before) dhlovesbelle are going...

If we hadn't brought clothes, we would have had to go back to the hotel.

Oh man--maybe I need to be doing some research on weather??!!:scared1: I was picturing VERY HOT yet when we go....like Florida weather, only not humid.

What kind of weather/temps can we expect for Sept 7-11? I was planning on bringing just shorts and T-shirts--should I pack jeans and even light jackets "just in case"?:confused3

Good grief, I can't believe I haven't even THOUGHT about what the weather might be like.....:headache:

If you go to weather.com you can see the averages for each month.

The average high in September is 85 and the average low is 62. It gets cool at night once the sun goes down. I would definetly bring long pants and long sleeves (maybe even sweatshirts) for the evenings.

Bugs land was great. We were there when it was crowded... lots of folks there later in the day, but at park opening it was empty for an hour or so.

I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old.... they were terrified in the Its a Bugs Life 3D show. They completely lost it when the giant spiders dropped from the celing. I would not recommend it for small kids.

Great to know to bring complete changes of clothes...I know my DD will love this and will love getting as wet as possible!! Oh and the info on the Bug's life show is great...I know she would be scared.

I made the mistake of taking DD4 and BFD7 to "It's tough to be a bug". They did get a little scared during the show but at the end...the creepy crawly feeling on the benches both those girls must have jumped 5ft in the air and on to my lap. It was completely funny. :rotfl:

I don't know if DD4 will want to see this show next week I'll have to ask her. Her brothers probably will though.

Thanks for the tips on the water thing....I will bring swimsuits and "water shoes" with me (and towels)...maybe do the locker thing or do it right before midday nap time.
