Am I alone in wishing they offered al la carte selections at buffet restaurants?????..... I don't like to eat that much in one sitting and just wished there was an alternative, so we could all eat together.

That's how Restaurant Akershus was. :flower: I really enjoyed having the buffet part (which were cold dishes) and the a la carte items (which were hot dishes).

I am not a big eater. Buffets done well have that sort of thing where they have special items prepared at a "station". Many breakfast buffets have an omelet station for example where you can order it the way you like. I often inquire about made to order items, and often I find them.
Good luck!

We are big eaters--but we like the selection. It is better than eating hamburgers, pizza, and chicken!!

I am not really a big eater, and often struggle with paying so much and eating so little, but the up side is I get to try a little of everything. I really like to sample things so this is a good way to do it.

We can handle one breakfast and one dinner buffet each trip, just to get in some character meals, but after that they get old in a hurry. Disney buffets are great as buffets go, but I don't think the food quality in any buffet is close to a good restaurant.

I've read that the Trails End has a soup and salad option. That's probably what I will choose. :wave2:
