So, my DBF loves Buffets. Personally I think they should be left to salad bars or Vegas....Rather then let this break the relationship I thought I would try to find places that have great buffets or places that have nice menus too.

I will admit I did have breakfast once at the Port Orleans' restaurant (that is no more) and I thought it was great. Character meals would be ok. The DBF is a BIG kid, and if he does not see Tigger he will be crushed. :)

So, where do you go? I don't need or want acres of choices, I just want a *fresh* hot meal. Have you been anywhere that is consistently great on property? If so please share!

Thanks!

Crystal Palace for a consistently decent buffet that includes Tigger.

I agree. If you must do a buffet, then Crystal Palce is the place. Plus you get Tigger too!;)

BOMA...at AKL for breakfast or dinner...sorry no characters, but, at dinner, food and service are exceptional . Their breakfast buffet is pretty awesome too, you have to try their specialty juice "frunch" it is amazing!! You will absolutely love this "buffet".;)

Another vote for Boma, I'm not big on buffets either, but this one is exceptional.

Not too big on buffet food, but I thought the breakfast buffet at 1900 Park Fare in the GF was above average.

Any chance your dbf would meet you half way and try some family style dining? If so, try the Garden Grille in the Land pavilion at Epcot and Ohana at the Poly.

THose are my favorite three...they are all good, hard to pick a favorite. I hit each of them at least once each trip. The one that works best with our plans wins.

CP for the food and the atmosphere. It really is a beautiful room and the food is always good, plus an omlette making station.

Boma has a great variety, a really great variety and you get to walk through the AKL while you are there.

Again, visiting the GF for 1900PF is always fun. That Mad Hatter guy is great. He has been there for many years. We have a picture of my thirteen year old daughter with him....from last year and from when she was 2 1/2....and a couple in between.

DS loves Tigger, DW likes Piglet and DH likes Eeyore and Winnie so all win/win

For a buffet, the food is quite good and the restaurant is nice

Thanks
Jason

I've heard great things about Boma - but haven't tried it yet.

If you want to see Tigger - definitely hit the Crystal Palace. They have a made to order omelet station - so it will definitely be fresh and hot - they also will cook other styles of eggs to order, i.e. fried. We had good luck with the rotation of food on the buffet, and our server was great.

You might both be happy at 'Ohana at the Poly. You get a lot of variety with the convenience of table service. They bring an all-you-can-eat appetizer selection (seafood wontons, wings, veggies, fried rice, dipping sauces, salad), and serve meats (beef, turkey, pork) and shrimp on giant skewers fresh from the grill until you have had your fill. Pineapple with caramel sauce comes with meal, but they also have a dessert menu for an extra charge.

We loved it.

I am not a buffet fan, but I would recommend Boma for dinner. The atmosphere is very nice and the food is incredible. I have also had breakfast at Boma, but do not feel it compared to dinner. It was more of a standard buffet at breakfast

As others have mentioned - Boma and Crystal Palace are two winners that I think you'll be pleased with too!
