Buffet Questions

Hey all, because we're having the reception at the ADH we have to have a buffet. I got two menus in email, and we would like to combine the two (a few from this, a few from that etc). Can this be done?

Next question - is there anyway to have them make sure that nothing has mushrooms in it? I can think of three people at the wedding (Myself, my dad, and the best man) who are allergic to mushrooms. Can they work with this allergy?

Last question (for now! LOL) it doesn't make any sense to me to have dessert options if we're going to have a huge wedding cake and also a DP. Has anyone actually had these? Or can we take them out?

You can combine the menu's or customize your own. I had a buffet at ADH as well and we took what we wanted from different menu's and some stuff we wanted that were not on the menu's and they do customize it if you want. They will quote you a price once you decide what options you want.

As for allergies, of course they can work with you! You tell them what you don't want in your meals and they will help you through this.

And yes, you can also get rid of whatever dessert you don't want.

Bottom line, Disney will do what you want - you don't have to use the premade menu's. You can decide what you want and what you don't want and they will price accordingly.

I was told the same thing.... even though I am having my reception at Boardwalk- they said they would take off the desserts, adjust the prices and they were very flexible to combine or remove items from menus!

Thank you both! I just got sent the menus with no explanation or anything. I had to read in Carrie's book why I only got buffet ones sent to me.

We didn't use any Disney menus. We customized our buffet and even included some family recipes. I'm sure they'll be ok working with any allergies too

I think you only got buffet menus since you can only have a buffet at the ADH, or so I have heard. It was the same for me in the Attic. I wanted a buffet anyway but...they will work with anything you need. I changed things around in my buffet. I added dishes that weren't even on the buffet menus. I also asked for all sauces to be on the side for those that had heart conditions or other problems the sauces may have been to rich or fatty for them and plus not everyone likes sauce! As for allergies they actually asked me if any guests had allergies at my planning session so they are well aware of those things.

Same for me. We had our wedding in ADH in October and we were allowed to do anything. The chef was very accomodating. The ones they send seem to be a starting-off point. Let me know if I can help you with any ADH questions We loved it there and so did our guests.
