Buffet menu options...ice sculpture w/sorbet?

Does anyone know if you have a buffet menu can you have the sorbet with the ice sculpture served? I am guessing no but I think it so cool and would be a great surprise. So far I am finding out you are limited with the buffet dinner vs. the plated. My reception is at ADH so I don't have an option.

it couldn't hurt to ask. I can not see why not. The sorbet is charged per person so you can jut pay the cost per person and then you can request it be served maybe before any food? Ask your planner.

My dessert was supposed to be served at ADH --i thought it would be more elegant. I was also supposed to have the tables set with place settings..but that didn't happen (check out my trip log) It was set to be that way. But They didn't do it. I never said anything because I wanted to enjoy my day and not be confrontational. But the point is that it could be done and should have been done as I had requested.
