Where is the best place to go for a buffet breakfast on WDW site and off site??

IDK about off site. But on site there are lots of good ones

Crystal Palace
Cape May
Boma
just to name a few.

Depends if you want character meals or not. Our favorites are:

With Characters:
Tusker House Safari Breakfast with Donald, Daisy, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy---excellent! all you can eat buffet.
Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends---omelet bar, made to order pancakes and puffed french toast---YUMMY! all you can eat buffet.
I have heard Cape May is very good, but we have never been, we prefer to eat in the parks and get the 1st seating so can be in the park at rope drop.
Most everyone loves Chef Mickey but we didn't like it at all.

Without Characters:
Boma----Excellent! all you can eat buffet + omelet bar (they will also make you fried eggs)

Are you looking for good food, only good prices, or characters? We've eaten many of the character breakfast buffets onsite, and really enjoyed the variety of food at Cape May. There are also characters- a few of the fab 5 are there. You could do Chef Mickey's or, if you want to get an early start at MK, Crystal Palace with Pooh & Friends is pretty good.

Agreed. We found the food at Cape May to be sub-par. The food at Chef Mickey's was ok, but that was all about the characters. The food at CP was better and has characters, while strictly going for food would mean go to Boma.

For off-site I try to go to Solaris at the Marriott World Center at least once a month.

Their buffet is split into several section totalling about 70 feet long. They have about a dozen kinds of fresh fruit, they have omlettes and pancakes to order, along with smoked salmon and Parma ham.

They serve until about 10:00 weekdays and 1:00 weekends and holidays.
