Buffalo

I've been reading that many of you in the GTA have been flying out of Buffalo because it's cheaper than YYZ. My problem is that I'm considering flying out of Buffalo for my Dec trip, but I'll be a student with no car. Is there a bus or something that could take me to buffalo? I guess maybe Greyhound? I hear also that it is a huge hassle to go through customs on a bus. I'll be flying home to PEI for Christmas after the trip, so it will only be one way from buffalo.

Does anyone have any ideas that would help me? Thank you in advance!

I've seen a flight with Airtransat for just over $200 one way out of Toronto, which gets me in to Orlando at 9:20 am. Anyone ever flown with them? I'm willing to fly cheap, as long as I'm safe! ;) Let me know what you think, I'd like to get this settled earlier rather than later, seeing as how prices are going up and not down!

When I was in college we flew Chicago to Buffalo and took greyhound over the border to Niagara Falls. Worked out fine. I bet greyhound does this from Toronto and other destinations too.

i think this post should be listed as the first post? I think there is some messed up posts today, I read the first post and wondered what the OP question was? :goodvibes But then i realize they were replying to the ? that is under post #2 :badpc:

anyways, the rates for Buffalo seem to be alot higher then they were before. I need to book too but i have SW credits that expire in the fall , so i can't book yet. I am afraid they will only get higher.

I was really confused looking at the first post, and I'm the OP! LOL I started wondering if I was reading another thread that I am subscribed to. :confused3
I'll keep an eye on Buffalo, I saw one today through Delta for $129 one way, that was on Expedia.ca so it might be cheaper directly through Delta. Only problem was that it arrived at midnight, and I'd like to try to have a little time on my arrival day!

That doesn't help with your SW credits though, disneyfan.

Thanks... so it was not difficult crossing the border with greyhound?

There is a shuttle bus from Burlington/Hamilton to BUF. If you are coming in from TO, you can catch the GO train to Burlington.

Hi, there is a new shuttle service from Toronto called megabus. 2 daily trips to Buffalo and 2 trips back. Leaves from Royal York Hotel downtown. They have a website www.megabus.com. Don't think the December rates have come out yet though.

Thank you! I really appreciate all of the responses, it helps to know that I still have the option of going through Buffalo if the price is right. It would be more convenient to fly out of Toronto, but every penny is important, and I still will need to get back to PEI from MCO, which is even more expensive! Not to mention getting back to Toronto after Christmas....
