Just booked Homewood Suites in Buffalo Park & Fly rate ... but know I'm thinking I should have gone with Holiday Inn Express and parked at the Airport ??
what is Safer Airport long term parking OR Hotel Park & Fly ???
depends on the neighbourhood of the hotel and how well the "secure" their parking areas
when you park at the airport, you have all those shuttle buses going through the car lots ( not to say their eyes are on the cars parked ) but that would mean at least some "human" element present where your car is parked
we have used it several times this year for shorter terms and have found it to be acceptable
We have used both. We stayed at Holiday Inn Express and used their parking and then next trip parked at the airport. We felt safe at either place but if I had to say one was safer I would go with the airport lot.
in 2003 we stayed at Homewood Suites and left our car for 8 days in their lot. I made sure we parked near a light and in a place I thought would have a decent amount of foot traffic around! We made sure there wasn't anything of value visible, but we had no problems. We loved the rooms and pool at Homewood Suites! A nice way to begin vacation. Do they still have the $99 rate? Jo
I am booked in at Clarion Hotel in October, $69+tax.
Our flight leaves at 7:10. One issue i have is that the shuttle does not leave until 6:00 and the reservation agent said I might need to leave myself 1.5 hours to check in and might think about a cab.
I parked at the airport 2 other times and never had any safety concerns.
Do I really need that much time? I don't remember BUF being that busy.
Personally, I'd say 1 hour is plenty...there is no customs and for some airlines you can do curbside check-in. Also with some airlines, you can preprint your boarding passes, so I would say that 1 hour would most likely be enough.
