Buffalo/Niagara Falls Meet June 2nd - A Link To The Hard Rock

Giving another bump. Time is drawing close for this meet and some of us are getting EXCITED!!! :dance3: :yay: :cheer2:

I might have recruited another one or two people for the meet. I think that Poohbear67 might be coming along and she may or may not be bringing her DBF. The more, the merrier.

I would love to come but am working from 7a.m. to 9 p.m. 0n Sat. Darn it Laura thanks so much for letting me know and all of you please include me in future plans.

So I have lived 60 min from Niagara Falls for the last 34 years and never done Maid of the Mist. Well tomorrow is the day.

I know it this is a little late but if anyone is interested and wants to join us PM me and we can try to meet up.

Tickets cost 12.50 per adult and we will be at the Falls around 1:00.

Thanks

Rob

YES YES we are coming!!! Can't wait to meet everyone.

Anyone from the US who wants to make a mad dash across the bridge to Canada should bring a passport or birth certificate (unless, of course, they want to stay in Canada). I've done the walk from the Hard Rock Cafe in NY over to the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side once before. It's a good way to burn off those calories.

Maid of the Mist sounds like fun, but unless I leave right now (which only gives Poohbear67 about half an hour to get ready), we won't make it. Funny thing is that I was just thinking this morning about heading towards Niagara Falls a bit earlier than I had originally planned. I was going to cut it close because I didn't want to get there too early. My DW Sue said "You can always go look at the Falls!!!" Duh. That's why I married her. She's so smart.

See you all this afternoon/evening.

I am at work today until noon but it is not a half to be here day so I can leave anytime and I am sure ready to meet everyone (more people like myself, crazy for WDW).:lmao:

Alrighty I will see all of you later.

Was a pleasure to meet all who were at the meet--Thanks to Patty (grinningghost) for organizing it, also John (Towncrier) for the meet pins--waiting for the pictures to be posted--

Hi everyone! "Nicky Mouse" and I just wanted to say how great it was to see everyone last night. Had a wonderful time! Can't wait to see the pictures... still laughing about the tourist taking pictures, of us taking pictures!

Thanks Patti for organizing and John for the pins. Chloe and i had a great time meeting everyone. Andrea, Chloe loved Nicolas. He is such a cutie!!

Waiting for the pics..........

Did you know that an expired US Passport is valid for going to/from Canada (at least until they require a passport for US citizens). I didn't find out that tidbit until Nancy, Mike, and I returned to the US after a brief 2 hour trip to the Canadian side of the falls. I guess I didn't have to dig out my birth certificate afterall. Who knew?

I had an excellent time at the meet. Next time we'll have to plan to get together sooner (like Rob and some folks did) so that we can spend more time chatting and less time chewing. These old ears of mine have a hard time picking out conversations when there is too much background noise. My apologies to those who I made repeat what they were saying two or three times.

It was a hoot meeting Mary, our uninitiated guest in the wheelchair. I can't wait to see what username she selects for the boards.

Thanks to Patti for organizing the meet and bringing all of us nutty people together in one place. We must do it again someday.

It was fun! Thanks Patti for organizing it and John for the pins.
