Buena Vista Palace Resort + Transportation ?S

Staying at the Buena Vista Palace for a few days post cruise, looking forward to being so close to DTD! Can anyone tell me what is the best way to get from the hotel to the airport on the way home? I've seen the prices are outrageous for their shuttle. Don't know if we should take a cab? It's myself, DH and 4 yo DD (who would need a carseat). Should I look into Mears? Don't want to spend $100 just to get to the airport. What are our options??

Also, anyone have reviews of the hotel?? Looks nice, but I've read mixed reviews online. We booked the hotel through our cruise line who recommended highly, of course.

Also, any info on Disney Quest??

We basically want to hang at DTD on day 1 and then do parks on days 2 and 3. MK and AK??? I dunno. We want to have fun, enjoy ourselves and not run ragged of course! This will be after a 7 day cruise, so we want to take it kinda easy.

Any input would be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

Hi. Any taxi or town-car (the one the hotel gets you)will cost you about 50 dollar to mco.

If you have the time,and energy,the are a bus stop at the start on Hotel Plaza Blv.(where the cross lights are outside Hilton). This public LYNX bus goes to mco, takes about 50,min, and cost 3 adult,1.50 child.
Departs once a hr. Leavs HPB, about 45-50 min after the hr.
