Hi,
still madly planning for our first trip to DLP in January and now I'm getting worried about my budget.
There is me and DD (5). She will have her own money for souvenirs etc. Breakfast is included and I think I will do as alot of others and take some extra from breakfast to have at lunch time
I was thinking about taking £50-£60 per day for other meals, hot drinks throughout the day etc. I'm planning on us eating at counter service places in the evening as DD is not a big eater and to keep costs down.
Do you think this is a realistic budget or am I kidding myself????? :confused3

OOOhhhhhhh...just realised I have graduated from "earning my ears" to "mouseketeer"...is it wrong that I'm excited about that?????

that sounds fine although it depends where you are having your main meal. really it can be as cheap or expensive as you like

It sounds fine. Make sure you eat early in the evening as a lot of the counter service restaurants close early when the park closes early. There are some really nice ones in Fantasyland that are cosy when the weather is cold.

On my trip in October this year, for me and DD, I spent 240 euros over 3 nights/4 days. This included lunch and dinner every day (and we ate at a buffet or table service restaurant every night for dinner) and about 50 euros I guess that we spent on souvenirs. We didn't scrimp at all, so I'd say your budget is just about right :).

We also brought goodie bags for the kids during the day. i made them up before we left. I put a caprisun, packet of crisps/popcorn and a bar, lolly etc in them.. Saved us a fortune on snacks.
Also the shop in the train station is cheaper than the parks for drinks etc..

Im taking fruit shoots, bottled water & crisps for snacks.

Im budgeting about E200 a day for food for 5 of us, one is under 3 so will eat free mostly as we will eat in buffet resturants in the evening. We plan counter service for lunches.

I have extra money for snacks & shopping,, my total budget for 5 nights is E1350
