Hi all :). Just came back from dlp a few weeks ago, and am now wanting to go back lol :) I purchased dream ap's for myself and my 6 year old daughter. Iam wanting to try and squeeze in a budget trip for just myself and daughter at end of July/August , when I'm off from work. It will be the first time we have gone alone. Both other times we have gone with Dh and we have gone by direct Eurostar and stayed on site. This time I want to try a budget trip, as low as I can lol so any ideas on hotels ? Travel etc? It will be just myself n 6 year old daughter so if we have to travel to from dlp each day I'd like us to be really close to station, or maybe a dlp shuttle service? Thanks in advance for any help ideas :) x

We are buying Dream AP's in the summer and have 3 trips planned staying off site to save money. We drive over using the shuttle so we can drive to the parks. On our 1st trip though we will have our 5 year old nephew and SIL with us so we wanted to be near a station so they can go back to the hotel without our car if they need to. We have booked into an apartment next to the station 1 stop down the line from DLRP. I used expedia to find suitable apartments/hotels and then read reviews on trip TripAdvisor about them before booking. It is also next to the supermarket and has a small kitchen so we could cook lunch/dinner if we wanted to (although we don't plan to, but we do plan to have breakfast there before we leave for the parks each day.) For our other 2 trips we have booked into a hotel 10 minutes drive from the parks.

Have a look at Alpharooms.com and hotelscombined.com
Try alpha / expedia / ebookers for combined flight/hotel with savings and hotelscombined.com seem to have the best rates for offsite.

I ended up not going the budget route in the end as such (my fantastic, amazing husband upgraded us to onsite for my birthday - he is a keeper!).

As regards saving money or keeping to budget while at DLP we found the Casino shop (on the far left) in the Train Station at DLP to have much cheaper lunch / light dinner options. If you are staying in Val d'Europe theres a fab place called Pauls in the shopping centre for the best mini apple tarts and bread. I fell in love just a little bit!
