Budget Rent a Car

We will be going to Disney in April of 04 and have a reservation with Budget Rent a Car. The last few trips we used National, but so far Budget has the best rates for our dates.

There have not been too may reports on Budget, either positive or negative. I would like to hear your experiences with using Budget in Orlando.

I have only used them twice, years ago, and they were very good.
The first time they tried to hard sell the insurance, but, I just said NO, the second time, no problems. Easy in and easy out.

I had no problems with them... excellent customer service and I was in and out within 10 minutes. We plan to use them again this December.

I rented from budget about 2 weeks ago, in orlando. They gave me a 2003 ford ranger (cheapest car they had) checking out the truck was fine, when I got out to the truck I found the tailgate wouldn't open, took it to the booth, they told me it must have been jammed, I told them I didn't need the room and if they could just note it I'd be on my way. Well it didn't take long for me to find more problems.
- the front speakers didn't work
-the wipers were streaking real bad (it was pouring when I left)
-oh and the fuel guage had a mind of its own, once you got below a 1/4 tank it would go all over the place emp[ty to full.

do keep in mind this was 1 experiance, maybe other people had extremely good exp. If they had the best price I'd still rent from them.

Thanks, for the replies. Maybe I will stick with Budget.....unless I get a better rate some where else.

Keep on checking, sometimes a better rate will pop up.
My dad was from Nova Scotia, btw.

I did sign up for the Fastbreak membership but really didn't need to use it as there was no lines.

We rented a full size SUV and got a Silver Ford Explorer. It was in excellent shape... appeared to be a new car and only had a few thousand miles on it.
