Okay we are going in 2005. Granted I have time. But you can not save fast enough for Disney -- or so I think. I also know that if I do not get saving we won't go. I want to start putting together my budget.

Castmembers:
Me: 38 (then)
DS: 14 (then)

Dates: Oct 26 - Oct 31
Pop Century

Here are the items I think I need to budget for. Please let me know if I forgot anything. I am very new at planning a vacation.

Hotel - $700 (waiting on 2005 prices) and hoping for a code to come out.

Plane - $450 (hoping to include transfers in this amount)

Transfers - $40 (if not included above)

Hoop Dee Doo - $100 (already made PS for it)

Tickets - $450 (not sure of prices)

Tips - $30.00 (bags and maid)

Food - $400.00 (we are not doing any charter meals DS said he did not want to) I will also be using Netgrocer to ship some things down to us. Ship rates are not bad.

Spending- $300.00

I feel like I am missing something.

Hi. Planning your budget is a great motivater to increase your savings! Good going:teeth: I think your food budget might be a little low, depends on how you like to eat.

Keep your eye on the codes and packages offered. For that time of year, you should be able to get a really good rate.

Tickets: You'll need to decide what type of tickets you'll need; ie. where does your DS want to go/do? Then you can go to several sites to look up prices. mousesavers, dreamsunlimitedtravel, allears.

Have a great trip:wave2:

here is why I picked $400 for food.

10-26 -
Check In
Unpack
Snack by the pool
Doing Hoop De Doo $100.00

10-27 - 10- 30
Breakfast - in room early
Lunch - $25
Dinner - $50 - 70
Snacks/Drinks - $30

Okay so that is $500.00 Guess I will be uppint that food budget.

10-31
Checking out going home

So will do breakfast out

Lunch if we are not on a plane. But will have any leftover snacks in my carry on:hyper:

Looks pretty good to me! We are going in May of 05, and I have my budget worked out too, and I've started a separate saving acct for the trip, so I know that's where the money goes. I'm loving watching the balance go up (it's slow, but it's going up), makes me more excited if that's possible.

If you decide what kind of tickets you'll need, you could buy them ahead of time, as you have the money, then that will be one less expense when you get there! I'm sure you've thought of that, but anyway....

Happy planning and saving!

I am going to be buying either 5 or 6 day Hopper Plus Tickets.

I know we will be in parks on:
Oct 27-30 for sure

The 26th we do the Hoop Dee Doo

and not sure what time my flight home will be on the 31st.

The extra days will be for when we go back.

Went to the mall and bought another $5.00 in DD today. I love going in a picking them up. Browsing through the store. I mean it to.... I am only going in to buy DD.

Also been really adding to my change tin. Not just change either. I threw in the rest of the money that was left after I exchanged some clothes for DS. I know I have probably $14.00 in cash in there along with $20 in change.

Slow but steady gets you to Disney in my book!
