I am going to WDW later this year with 2yrold DD.Breakfast will be in our room from groceries we will bring, and we will be back at our hotel (onsite All Star Movies) for most dinnertimes...what is a reasonable daily budget for food for one adult(lunches mostly in the park, dinners from food court at resort). My DD will likely share what I have anyway. I would anticipate lunches will be from counter service areas in the parks.

Why don't you visitDEB'S SITE and look over the menus to get an exact idea of what you'll be spending.

Hope I've helped,

Based on your choice of counter-service restaurants in the parks and the food court at ASMo, I would estimate $25- $30 per day for food for yourself, with your DD sharing your plate. This would
allow for both lunch and dinner plus a snack & soda/water each day.

An example of a day's meals would be:
Magic Kingdom - Cosmic Ray's
  • Fried Chicken Strips, served with choice of French Fries or carrots - $6.49
  • Coke, Sprite, Minute Maid Orange, Iced Tea - $1.99 $2.29 (split with your DD)
  • Total = $9.35 w/tax
Magic Kingdom - Ice Cream Vendor
  • Mickey Ice Cream Bar - $2.50
  • Bottled Water - $2.50
  • Total = $5.00
AllStar Movies - Intermission Café
  • Pasta with Meatballs $6.49
  • Six Breadsticks with Marinara Sauce $4.99
  • Cold or Hot Beverages $1.79 (split with your DD)
  • Total = $14.07 w/tax
Total for the Day = $28.42

Tiggerlover91's suggestion to check Deb's website is an excellent one. Don't forget to add the 6.5% sales tax into the total cost of any meal. If you plan to do any character meals, add the price of those meals into your budget.

On our last trip in November, we ate breakfast in our condo with some food we brought with us (cereal, pop-tarts) and some food we bought there (milk, juice, fresh fruit, etc). We had lunch in the parks at mostly counter service. Dinner was in the parks or offsite restaurants.

For 3 adults and 1 child (8), we averaged just under $17/person/day for food. That included all meals and snacks in and out of the parks.
