One of my girlfriends has become a Gigi Hill rep and is having a party at the house of another girlfriend. I owe small favors to both of these women--they've picked up/dropped off my kids for me, stuff like that, and I'd feel bad about not showing up for the party--BUT I looked at the web site and the products look expensive! Kind of like Vera Bradley except that I never heard of them before... https://www.gigihillbags.com/MemberToolsDotNet/(S(1xl0g2jxpijhrvk2fd3woaiq))/ShoppingCartNew/MainCart.aspx?PriorNav=ProductDetail_66
Has anyone been to a Gigi Hill party and know anything about this product line?

Politely decline. Seriously, if you go you will feel pressured to buy and I just looked at the site:scared1: You can watch their kids sometime...much cheaper than a $100 bag you don't want or need!

Well I would go but I would just have a preset budget in mind and not spend over that amount. That is what I do when I am invited to any of these parties. Lia Sophia and tastefully simple and whatnot....the parties can get expensive fast if you don't get your budget in mind LOL I looked at their site and there were a few things in the 6.00 range, 20.00 range and 50.00 range. I would just try to find something that I liked in the price range that I like. That said if you don't like anything or it is not your style then I would not go because it is kind of awkward to be the only one not ordering (depending on how the salesperson handles the ordering process). Good luck with your decision~!!

Maybe you could be honest and combine it with an offer to help: you could say it's just not your style so you won't be at the party, but you'd be happy to watch their kids either the afternoon of the party so they have time to set up or during the party .

Years ago I went to a Pampered Chef party and really enjoyed the food and the fact that you could get away with ordering just smaller items. For this party, if it looked like they had a good number of items for $10-25 I would go but I just see so few lower-priced items--and I've never even heard of this brand! I've been eyeing the VB mini-hipster for months and I'd been planning to get if it goes below $25--the Gigi Hill look-alike is $45.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions for getting out of this one!
