I have to ask, do you think they were giving you the runaround and being so shady because you're a woman? I have had that happen to me before until they realized I knew what I was talking about. I HATE when that happens, but sometimes you have to send a guy to set them straight. Urgh, that makes me mad just typing it!

That REALLY bugs me. I'm thinking bad words right now that I can't type here. I'd still be the biggest female dog around when dealing with them.

I would not under any circumstances do business with them after the way they treated you. I'd make sure they knew why too. But that's just me.

I had my remodel done by a local reputable company and free granite was part of my package, although I paid for installation. They offered 8 choices. I frequently see offers for that type of thing, so if you're doing a full remodel you might want to look for a deal like that.
