Okay, so it's not a Rembrandt (Picaso, maybe) but I just wanted to share the picture my daughter, Emma, drew a few days ago. She just turned 8 and loves to draw all the time. I thought it was pretty good because she did it from memory and got all the colors right without even looking at any photo. (Those are "not suspenders but stripes on their shirts".) She has done a lot more pictures of things in the park. She drew enough photos last year that we had a memory book made up. Anyway... here at the Dapper Dans, Emma style.

Does anyone else have Disneyland photos to share that your children have drawn? Or even you? Post em here!

WOW! That is cool! She is a way better artist than I am! Definatly encourage her talent, maybe she'll one day work on a Disney cartoon movie!! (wouldn't that be cool?!!)

What a great pic!! Even before reading your description, I knew that was the Dapper Dans!

I knew it was the Dapper Dans, too. :flower:

Next time you go to DL you should take the pic & have them sign it, if you can.

Oooh! That's a great idea! Thanks! And thanks to everyone for all the compliments. I passed them along to my DD. She is very pleased!

Eh... My DD13 is an obsessive artist in the anime/manga style. She's been drawing for years, and in the past year spends hours at a time at it, and is getting pretty dang good! When we went in March, the very first night we first explored the parks, we got back to the hotel and she was desperately rooting around the hotel room for something to draw on. "Mom, got any paper? Got a pen or pencil? I've GOTTA draw!" and she proceeded to scribble out, in quick succession, several pictures of a manga-type girl with mouse ears on, one on the back of a Pinocchio's Workshop flier. Here is one. It's very hurriedly done, and in pen (she's used to using artist pencils and sketch paper).

If your daughter doesn't care about keeping her drawing, what if she signed it and gave it to them as a present?

When I was around 7 or 8, my family and I went to WDW for vacation. One day we ate at the Garden Grill @ Epcot and just like many restaurants, they gave me a paper to color and it had Mickey planting flowers. When Mickey came to visit our table, I showed him the pic that I had colored of him. He liked it so much that he wanted my autograph. Once I signed it and gave it to him, he was really excited and liked it a lot. Even though he was just a person in a mouse costume, he really enjoyed my colored pic, but I think that actual ppl would appreciate it more and would absolutely love it!!!

And I have to say that your daughter's drawing is too cute for words! :lovestruc

Your daughter's picture is very nice, avalon451. I am not really familiar with anime/manga style but it does look a lot like some of the animation that I have seen out there now a days. She has done a great job of catching on to drawing the "style".

She might not mind giving it away but I would! We have a huge box of her drawings. I keep EVERYTHING! On the other hand, I could make a color copy to give them. Thanks for the idea and compliment on her artwork.

That's a cool Mickey encounter. I wonder how many other people have given Mickey their autograph!

Ahhh that is so cute!! Avalon your dd has talent. My son is very much into that as well but he can't draw it very well..lol.

I love this thread and so will my DD. She is an artist and loves to draw everything Disney!! She has 2 dreams in life #1 to become a Vet and #2 to work for Disney in the design and animation department.
I will have her gather some of her drawings and then scan them in to the computer and uplaod them to photo bucket so she can share a few here.
She always amazes me at how she can look at a picture and just draw it ut so quickly and no tracing involved.

Thanks for starting this thread and for sharing the art work....we love it!!!
