Bucs, Hulk, Horror, Harry, DC & Shamu

Next up….Transformers. We loved Spiderman on our last visit and had heard that Transformers was similar. It was another walk-on with Express. My son is the only person in our family who had seen all the Transformers movies & he enjoyed the ride the most. I found it entertaining, but a little overwhelming and difficult to follow. All-in-all I would give it a B+. The line for the Transformer photo-op was long enough that we decided to skip it & head to Mummy!

We loved Mummy on our last visit, but only got to ride it once. It was another walk-on with Express (love, love, love Express). None of us remembered the details of the ride & we all enjoyed it tremendously! Unfortunately, the ride photos machines were down so we were not able to add our pic to our card. We thought about another ride, but I was confident we would make it back in a couple of days during HHN.

This pic is from one of our rides another day….

I solemnly swear to finish my trip report!

OK, I have had some time to organize my photos & I’m ready to pick up where I left off……

I reviewed my report with my hubby & he informed me I was wrong. We enjoyed Mummy so much, we couldn’t help but ride it back-to-back with Express. The 2nd time we asked to sit in the front row & loved it even more!

As we made our way around the park, London came into view. Because this was going to be our only Express Pass day, we were saving everything Harry for another day. It was hard to look away, but we cruised right by it & straight to Men In Black

As you can tell, I take my score pretty seriously. MIB is a fun ride, but it's not in our top favorites list. Andy doesn’t like anything that spins at all so it actually ranks fairly low in his book. I’m personally unbeaten in our family, so I like it the most. :cool1:

By this point, everyone is starting to get hungry. We love the Simpson’s & planned to have lunch in Springfield. We decided to quickly hit the Simpson’s ride on our way to Krusty Burger. The posted wait time was 15 minutes, but we Expressed it. I’m not sure if we entered the wrong line once inside the building, but we ended up in what seemed like a fairly significant line. Up until this point we had been spoiled by everything being essentially a walk-on. We debated backtracking to ask if we were in the right place, but decided just to wait it out. We waited at least 15 minutes, if not 20. None of us were quite as “in love” with this ride as we were 4 years ago when we 1st rode it. It was cute, but we were starting to get tired & really needed a break to refuel. We were really excited to check out Springfield!

We arrived at Fast Food Boulevard right at noon. We were handed a menu as we entered & everyone debated their choices. We grabbed a few items from Lisa’s Treehouse grab-n-go section, then waited in the short lines of about 1-3 people at each of the food stations. Carson knew he wanted a Flaming Moe so I went there to order while Andy went to the Krusty Burger line for the rest of us. Kennedy was having a tough time deciding, but finally went with:

Veggie Sandwich $8.99
Guacamole, sprouts, cucumber, lettuce and tomato served on a freshly made oat roll

She was going to have a side fruit cup, but the fruit plate looked so good we decided to get it and share with everyone.

Fruit Plate $5.99
Fresh cut pineapple, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, orange and grapefruit

Carson & I went with the Krusty Burger & Andy tried the footlong hotdog.

Krusty Burger $9.99
6 oz Burger with Secret Sauce, cheddar cheese sauce, a giant tomato slice, iceberg lettuce, served on a specialty bun

Sideshow Bob Foot Long $8.99
Foot-long Nathan’s Famous All-Beef hot dog topped with homemade chili, cheddar cheese sauce, coleslaw & sliced onions

I wouldn’t say anyone loved their meal. Kennedy’s veggie sandwich was very dry & very sprouty…she barely touched it. Carson & I both deemed the Krusty Burger & curly fries “ok”, but nothing we would ever order again. Andy wasn’t a huge fan of his chili dog either. The star of the show was definitely the fruit plate…..I was so glad we had grabbed it. The fruit was fresh, ripe & delilious….it saved the meal!

The least impressive part…..the Flaming Moe. Although it’s a fun beverage to order & take a pic with, we would later declare it the biggest waste of $ on the trip. It was much smaller than we expected and quite pricey at $7.99

As we were finishing up we noticed the line had gotten huge! We had waited no more than 5 minutes to place our order at noon & the line looked at least 30-45 minutes when we left. We stopped to try Moe’s love tester on the way out & check out Barney.

The one picture I was so excited to take & never saw was the Simpsons couch. I know there are several fun backgrounds that can be added and I was bummed I forgot to seek out where to have it taken & added our star card.

The veggie sandwich looks delicious! I will keep that in mind when we go back this spring!
