Hi. DD is getting married in Aug and thier Buck and Doe is April. I want kind of give her and the wedding party a type of food list for the buck and Doe.
They are having food around 11:00 but what should I suggest?Platters of ???

Ive been to a lot recently...Heres a few thoughts Really depends on your budget

The obvious...Sandwich Platters, Cheese Crackers, Pickles, Dessert Trays, Salads, Veggies, Chips and Dip

Warm Items..Meatballs, Lasagne, Appetizers

I have been to many that have meat trays and buns to make sandwiches, cheese trays, veggies and dip, and chips, etc. I have also been to some, and it depends on the budget, where they have ordered pizza and party sized subs from the local pizza and sub shops.

Honestly, I don't think people attending really care that much ~ they aren't looking for a gourmet meal, just something to snack on to help absorb the alcohol!! ;)

I had never heard the term Buck-and-doe or Jack-and-Jill until I moved to Ontario. Curiously, they are not to be confused with Stag or Stagette parties which focus on vices.

guys seem to go for chili just need to keep it in a crock pot to keep warm for that matter even room temp and it still seems to disapear fast. I have a really great cold pasta recipe it goes a long way is very easy to make and every one who has ever tried it always asks for the recipe if you would like it just pm me and I will send it to you. :thumbsup2

I think it depends what area you are from. It is called a Buck and Doe where I come from. However, I have heard Stag and Doe too from friends you live in different areas of Ontario.
